Smooth dealer experience. I visited Autobarn City VW a week back to test drive a GTI to replace my 11 year old Mazdaspeed3. The dealership floor was clean with plenty of room t I visited Autobarn City VW a week back to test drive a GTI to replace my 11 year old Mazdaspeed3. The dealership floor was clean with plenty of room to move about. The specific trim level I was interested in was still in transit to the dealership, so I test drove a similar model. I primarily dealt with Ray Cotto and Sam Lotta, who were professional and gave me a good price on my trade-in. Although dealers would always rather sell you a car that day (they know that the vast majority of potential customers aren't coming back once they walk out the door), I wouldn't describe the sales pitch as being high pressure. Once I made my willingness to put a deposit down on the car that was in transit, they told me the date it was projected to arrive by, and gave me a call when it showed up a day early. After a brief test drive and inspection of the vehicle, they waited while I gave my credit union a call to make sure my loan was approved. Once that happened, I went to the finance office, where no shady dealer trickery occurred. I'm looking forward to running up the miles in my new GTI. More
