We completely understand the frustration of having issues with your truck and those issues not being handled in the way you preferred. From what I gather from talking to Nick, it sounds like there was a light on specific to a system, but the code was a generic code and did not specifically pinpoint the problem. It also sounds like the sensors that you were charged for were in the way of ultimately recognizing the final problem which you had coverage for. After speaking with Nick, he wishes that he had saved the bad sensors so that they could have been put back in after the ultimate problem was diagnosed and fixed. That way he could have also demonstrated that the sensors were also an issue because even after fixing the area you had coverage for those sensors would have ultimately needed replaced in the end. We understand that would have been helpful to you to see and seeing is believing. Ultimately, we always strive for 5 star service and that obviously did not happen in this case. Hello Bill My question is then why if it was generic code that the service department DID NOT look at what was covered under special coverage due to this year of pickup. GM came out with this bulletin long ago. A good service department would of recognized this and suspected that indirect injector is a known issue to start with related to the "generic" code my pickup had. I also work in the diesel technical field and have never seen both EGT sensors go bad at the same time. Plain and simple it was misdiagnosed the first time. It was not driven after the first repairs were made like i requested to be sure problem was solved. I know this because of the mileage in and out of door. Also I did not make it 30 miles before the same exact code came back so surely you can understand my frustration. I am fine working with this dealership again if they would admit that they misdiagnosed pickup and refunded the labor time i spent the first time. Looking forward from hearing from you soon.
