Your feedback highlights several concerns, and we are committed to addressing each one. We sincerely apologize for the lack of clarity regarding the vehicle’s Ford Buy Back status on our website and during your initial interactions. It is our policy to ensure all customers are fully informed about a vehicle’s history before purchase. The Ford Buy Back program involves vehicles returned to Ford for various reasons, in this case, a front-end noise that was thoroughly inspected and repaired. However, we understand that this information should have been discussed upfront. To prevent this in the future, we are reviewing our training with our sales team to ensure full disclosure of vehicle histories. We are shocked to hear that your insurance company reported the vehicle’s title as damaged, as this contradicts the information provided during your purchase. A Ford Buy Back vehicle does not carry a damaged title unless it was involved in a specific incident. We also apologize for the confusion with the CEFCU loan approval and the letter stating your loan was denied has caused. We are regulated by the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and we are required to notify customers in writing if they do not accept certain loan terms or rates offered by approved lenders. To clarify, your loan with CEFCU was approved, as confirmed by our finance team. Additionally, we are sorry for the misinformation regarding your pre-approval with your bank. Our team should have verified whether your bank finances Ford Buy Back vehicles. We appreciate your kind words about Vanessa’s assistance, and we confirm that she is expediting the process for a duplicate title, which we are working to secure as quickly as possible. We are truly sorry that your experience did not meet the high standards we strive for at Mike Murphy Ford. The vehicle history was provided to me verbally and proof via CARFAX, however; the issue with the information provided was the major misinformation that the title will forever and always be BRANDED! That was never discussed and I didn’t learn that until I called to have insurance added for this vehicle. Unfortunately, a Ford Buy Back does carry a damaged title even if this vehicle only had to have a strut replaced. The Ford Buy Back is classified as a “Rebuild” and therefore, makes the title Branded. I purchased this vehicle on March 1st and still to this day have no TITLE to gain proper licensing so this vehicle sits while I pay a car payment and insurance on it. I check the CARFAX and it shows the reprinted title was produced on May 20th and yet NO TITLE can be found. Any other person would be just as disappointed and upset to have a vehicle with a missing, damaged title that can’t be driven, that they are paying for.
