Perfect. I especially like Andrea Goodwin as the sales person who helped me through the process. Broken promises and questionable sales practice This will not be a glowing review! But truthful. 1. Two vehicles I was interested in was not pulled up and ready for me to look at as agreed by the salesperson. Caused time delay for me. 2. He agreed to sell me either vehicle for $300 below the advertised price. When I arrived that evening the person I spoke with on the telephone was not there so I dealt with another salesperson. I told him the other salesperson agreed to sell the vehicle to me for $300 less than advertised. This salesperson disagreed so I asked if he would call the other salesperson and he would not. I then showed him an email showing a $300 price reduction. He then got approval to sell to me for $300 less. 3. The tire pressure was low on all tires and he said it would be taken care of when I picked it up. They were not. I had to do it myself. 4. The vehicle was low on gas so he agreed it would be filled upon pickup. When I returned the salesperson told me his boss declined to fill the tank with gas as promised to me. (would it have been much better to fulfill the promise to me, the customer, (about $35) and then just tell the salesperson not to do that again? Leadership 101). 5. When reviewing the sales paperwork I noticed that the sales price was not reduced by the agreed upon $300. The paperwork had to be reprinted to reflect the lower amount (hum, what if I did not catch that?). 6. VERY IMPORTANT: They tried to sell me an after market product called EasyCare Etch Anti-Theft program for $299. It was already written up on the sales contract. When I questioned it I was told it was pre-installed on the vehicle and REQUIRED in order to purchase the vehicle. I closed the deal and left with the vehicle. Later at home I reviewed the paperwork and when I got to the EasyCare Etch Anti-Theft program document it clearly said that purchasing it was NOT a requirement for financing and I could have declined it by checking a box! I was very upset with that tactic! The next day I spoke with the same person who told me it was a purchase requirement. After some discussion he agreed to refund me the $299 and also fill the tank with gas. I declined the gas because it is a 45 minute drive for me to get there. When I received the check it did contain $26 for the promised fuel. In my honest opinion I believe the way this dealership gets you to buy the EasyCare Etch Anti-Theft program by the use of sliding the document by you to sign and then simply listing it on the sales contract as "after market" and not by name is very deceptive. Remember: At the time of sale I was also told it was required but the actual document indicated it is NOT. I am sure the EasyCare Etch Anti-Theft program is good to have but this dealership really needs to re-tool how they go about presenting it to customers. *It should be noted that when the dealership learned of this review they did reach out to me in an attempt to make things right. I explained what that would take and they expressed if they fullfiulled my request the profit on my vehicle purchase would be too small for them. So, at the end of the day this dealership is willing to take profit over customers who have legitimate grievances. With this mindset, in my opinion, Champion Auto will never grow from "Good to Great" and will never have a true commitment to excellence. If I were calling the shots at Champion Auto and learned of this customer's experience and review, I would tell my managers "In this case, I don't care if we make one penny on this sell as long as we satisfy this customer to their satisfaction."
