Horrible service side management, I had Grand Prairie Volkswagen diagnose a problem with my car. The quote for the work and labor and parts was too high. Which I then opted to take it to a performance shop. I asked ahead of time for them to place the car in a convenient area for me to load it onto a trailer. When I arrived with my pickup truck and trailer to tow the car It was shoved in the back corner of the lot in a very tight area and I had to move the car by hand into a different area in order to even get close enough to get it on the trailer. More

I can’t say enough great things about Mickaela in the Service Dept! She kept me informed as to progress, estimate for repairs, when my car would be ready to be picked up. Hats off to the service techs who worked on my Beetle! She’s running like new! I also appreciate the quote complete with video and that it itemizes everything and asks for your approval for each item! (No hidden surprises). I am so pleased with Grande Prairie Volkswagen! My experience with the dealership was not so good. At first we commend them for the fast bank approval. When we got there, we have decided which car to buy and they made us sign documents telling us t At first we commend them for the fast bank approval. When we got there, we have decided which car to buy and they made us sign documents telling us that the car is already ours and that they are just going to wait when we can sell our current vehicle then. And on the following week, we inform them that we will be going to the dealership to finalize the purchase. A day before we were scheduled to be there, they informed us that the deal was cancelled because according to them, "the bank revoked our approval" and because of that, they offered another vehicle for us. I understand the bank part since afterall its the bank that will finance.. I am not so familiar with how the car loan process here in Canada, they could have explain to me how the process works. Because everytime we choose another car, the agent only told us after, that our credit score will be affected which then in turn could make our chance lesser of getting approved. Which has placed us into a situation wherein we have sort of no other choice but to take what was offered to us or else we will end up getting no car at all since our credit score will be depleted then. They could have done better..then we finally got the car what was offered to us and i asked if the engine oil has been changed, they said yes. But when i got home from the dealership, i realized that they failed to reset the oil change memory of the car. I called their service department and they offered to do it but why would i bother going back just for a reset. I just reset it myself and also the engine coolant level was just within the minimum range. I know its still enough, but when you sell a car, they could have just at least top it up.. Also, the car we got was not washed and cleansed properly. Though i know that they know we have to be back home asap since we still have to go to work that afternoon. They said that we can book an appointment anytime if we want to have the car detailed. Its okay that they made an I O U arrangement but why would we bother going back for a car wash when we are 130km away from the dealership. They could have prepared it a day before since i already told the sales consultant that we have already decided to take the specific unit the following day. To be honest, we had another bank approval from another dealership but we have decided to get the Tiguan despite of the negative experience we had from the dealership. We got the Tiguan because I know the brand, the car, the technology and the benefits because I used to sell VWs for 5 years in my home country. It would be nice to see the service of the dealership improve for it would be a waste to have an amazing brand but doesn't have the support that it should have.. More
