This was a situation which could have resulted in a very negative review for this dealership and a dissatisfaction in customer service warranting a scathing report to BBB and up the chain of management. The salesperson and the GM prevented this situation from escalating and were integral to the resolution. The finance representative was too scripted, although I understand his hands were somewhat tied, and appreciated that he at least knew to get someone who could address and resolve the situation. However, I was unimpressed with his willingness to throw a fellow colleague “under the bus”. The GM worked with me to resolve the situation, as he recognized that exceptions to the standard protocol need to be made when circumstances are extenuating and not the fault of the customer, under any circumstances. More
