I made a purchase yesterday for a car at certified Benz and Beemer. I’m a bit old school and like to be able to see and do everything in person. Both Sarah and Dana from the finance department made sure that all was perfect and answered endless questions from me. The process throughout was transparent and honest. Very disappointed. I suggested a price I was willing to pay for the car with a trade in was reasonable. Dear Burt10: We, too, are very disappointed to receive your review. When you came to our dealership initially and requested a value for your trade-in, you were provided a range ($18,000-$20,000), depending on the condition of the vehicle based on our inspection. When you later brought the vehicle to be looked at, you then informed the salesperson that the car would need tires. Based upon the assessment of the vehicle's condition, the value placed on the vehicle was $500 less than the range that had been provided ($17,500). That was still $5,000 less than the $22,500 that you were looking for your trade. Considering that we were more than 20% apart on price, we understand that we were not able to reach a mutual agreement on the trade-in. We are sorry that you are upset that we could meet you halfway. Jack, Unfortunately that is not exactly what happened. I told the sales person my car needed new tires AND a new battery the first time we met. In fact that is why I could not drive the car there for the estimate to begin with. Robert gave me a proposal while there. The next day we texted and I told him the price I would buy it at. I came back to the dealership based on Robert telling me my price proposal sounded very fair and reasonable. I spent another 2 hours at the dealership. Once the car was there the sales manager came back with an estimate of $17,500 for my car and a proposed price with trade in that was $500 more than what i was first given and $5000 away from what i was told was a reasonable offer. Mark Miller said the tires would cost $1500 but the car was in great condition. If you take $1500 off what I was willing to buy the car for we would have had a deal. Instead the price got higher. No effort was made to meet me halfway-if that happened I would have bought the car. I am happy to talk to you about it. You can call my cell any time. Larry

Jack it was good speaking with you as well. Ironically the price of the car has dropped, it is still at the dealership, and is now below what I wanted to pay. It's too bad we could not have come to terms when I was there.
