I called, and without hesitation they told me to bring the car right back in. My advisor reevaluated the vehicle immediately, even though my appointment was technically over. That level of responsiveness and professionalism is rare, and it made me feel like they genuinely cared about getting the problem resolved. Even in the one situation where their initial work had to be revisited and expanded, because of the specific nature of the recall, Darrell and the whole service team were thoughtful and accommodating in their care for me, and in ensuring they went above and beyond to address the underlying factory design error. My son ran over a piece of metal on RT78 and soon after we got a check engine light. We had a code scanner and it told us there was an issue with the gas evaporative recirculation system. We brought into we got a check engine light. We had a code scanner and it told us there was an issue with the gas evaporative recirculation system. We brought into Bridgewater BMW and later in the day they sent us a video of the technician disassembling the area by the gas cap and told use two motor needed to be replaced for $1,800. Two motors went bad at the same time? This seemed odd, so I brought the car to Ziggy, a BMW specialist in Hillsborough. We told him the story, he bends over to look under the car, "There's your problem!". I look under the car and there is a hose dangling about a foot long. THIS WAS OBVIOUS. There is 100% chance that the BMW tech saw and ignored this instead trying to milk us. Ziggy did the repair for a fair price. This wasn't the first time... on a previous E46 repair I had an argument with the service rep but I couldn't get proof of fraud. I since bought a used Tesla 3 and haven't seen a dealer or repair shop in 2 years. More
