No Hassle, Great Experience On Friday, 7/27/18, I was browsing the Vernon Auto Group website out of boredom when I saw they had a car on the lot exactly like the one for which I On Friday, 7/27/18, I was browsing the Vernon Auto Group website out of boredom when I saw they had a car on the lot exactly like the one for which I had been looking for nearly a year. I made the 60 mile drive to Vernon the next day and found the car sitting on the lot. Normally, when you go to a dealership and show any kind of interest in a vehicle, sales people will come out of the woodwork. I hate that. I want a few minutes to myself to look and study the window sticker before talking to anyone, and that's exactly what happened. When I was ready, I went inside the building and asked to talk to a sales person. Within a few minutes, Jr Calvillo and I were headed out for a test drive. Jr let me drive where I wanted and answered my questions without being pushy. Once I decided I was ready to talk about a deal, we went to Jr’s desk and worked out all the normal details for buying a new vehicle with a trade-in. I next met with Miguel Granados in the finance office to go over the terms of the contract and arrange for credit. Miguel gave me information for various add-ons and warranties, but he never pressured me into buying anything. He gave me the information I needed and let me make my own choices. After the paperwork was signed, I again spoke to Jr for a couple of minutes, and then left with my new Challenger. While I was there, some of the staff were preparing to BBQ lunch on a grill outside the office. I was told they do this every Saturday as a way to treat their staff and customers who have to do business on the weekend. Pros: Low pressure sales and finance people Genuinely friendly staff Treat customers with respect No gimmicks or running to "ask the boss" every few minutes Large stock like the big city dealerships in a smaller town Follow-up calls after the sale just to check on my satisfaction Cons: Honestly none More
