I had to wait for multiple hours just to see numbers on paper. I told the salesman that I was on the way to sign and get the car gassed up/cleaned. Salesman was great, his name was Big Al. Very personable and friendly probably the only reason we didn’t walk away. But the finance dept could use a little training in professionalism. They “accidentally” added over 1k to the agreed upon price while we were signing paperwork, good thing I caught it. This was after we declined the extended warranty. After we declined it, he got real short with us and seemed like he didn’t care very much. I also asked if they would see if a different lender could offer us a better rate, and he straight up said no, we should have walked. He just said no, the rate we were getting was as good as it would get. Come to find out, less than 24 hours later they had already sold our debt to a lender for $2500. I’ve never heard of a dealership not offering to try and get a better rate. Overall the finance dept left a very sour taste in our mouths and we won’t be using this dealership for our next 2 purchases within the next year. It’s not because we didn’t negotiate or get our price we wanted, it’s because it felt like some shady stuff was happening. How does more than $1k get added to the price without us even discussing it? More
