I went to this dealership because they had the exact truck I have been looking for and the price and incentives listed online were fair. The salesman Josh was friendly and fairly knowledgeable. That truck I have been looking for and the price and incentives listed online were fair. The salesman Josh was friendly and fairly knowledgeable. That is where the good ended. My wife and I set up an appt to meet and test drive the truck 4 days in advance as we were traveling 3 1/2 hours to see the truck. We confirmed the day before that truck was still available before traveling 3 1/2 hours. As we arrive we see the truck sitting out front waiting. We go inside to find Josh and after a brief wait we go outside to see the truck and take a test drive. As we open the door we see empty water bottles, coffee cups in the console and used covid protective face masks laying inside the console along with various other items. In full disclosure we were told in advance this was a DEMO truck and the manager had been driving it. However we did expect to be test driving a new truck not a used one which is what it looked like. It almost felt strange in the truck as it clearly was his personal stuff. We were also given incorrect info about the features of the truck and the dirty truck was a little off putting but not a deal breaker as we really liked the truck. After the test drive we went to salesman office to discuss terms of sale and trade of our current vehicle. The salesman pulled up the online listing and began to go through the incentives and specials listed on the truck. We were informed that we were not eligible for the trade assist even though we were trading in a 2017 Silverado with 39000 miles or another $500 incentive listed. We were then told of the additional $2000.00+ accessories that had been added to the truck that were not advertised on the online listing price or details. So now the truck was listed at over $4000 of advertised price. At this point we were still interested in the truck and started to discuss trade prices. The trade amount discussed wasn't unreasonable but on the very low end of KBB. The salesman asked what kind of deal we were looking for between the difference of new truck and our trade and we told him the number we had in mind when the deal first started. He proceeded to take it to his manager which was declined. We still wanted the truck and made another offer of $1000 more than previous offer, again declined. I proceeded to ask where we were at with the difference between the 2 trucks and we were told that they did not want to insult us with offers and declined to do an official inspection of our trade. That was the end of the transaction. In our opinion the manager was not wanting to sale that truck that day as he made no attempt to get the truck ready to sale. It was clear he had started driving the demo the week before and had it set up as a personal vehicle. We had taken the time to clean and remove items from our own personal vehicle in anticipation of an inspection and trading in to the dealership you would think they would have done same. I would not recommend anyone traveling a good distance or any distance for that matter to go to this dealership as I wasted 7 hours on the road and over 2 hours at the dealership. The one positive I can take from this experience is the time and grief I was able to save 2 other people (brother and a friend) from visiting this dealership as they were waiting on my personal experience as the dealership has vehicles they were interested in also. More
