Ultimate Driving Machine"? More like the ultimate hunk of junk. I kept telling my young adult son how BMW was the ultimate driving machine, and he said, "I think we should get More like the ultimate hunk of junk. I kept telling my young adult son how BMW was the ultimate driving machine, and he said, "I think we should get a Mazda." I told him, "you haven't driven until you've driven a BMW." Boy was I wrong! This has been the worst car-buying experience of my life and I've owned three Mercedes, two BMWs (this being my second), two Jeeps, an Acura, and a Range Rover. I spent a year researching and trying to find a quality, safe vehicle to share with my son, and this turned out to be the worst thing that could have happened. He said right away, "it drives like xxxx." Even after taking it back twice , being dismissed "that's how X Drive drives " and being without a car for a week so they could "make repairs," nothing was fixed. Some young kids at a local tire and repair shop were able to point out serious issues within minutes things the dealership ignored. And my son was right it still drives like xxxx. When I asked what they were going to do, their idea of "resolving" the situation was trying to sell me an even more expensive piece of junk and take more of my money instead of fixing the car I just bought. Now I'm stuck with an unsafe, undrivable vehicle. BMW of San Luis Obispo does not operate with integrity. The used car department is careless, corners are cut, and vehicles are not properly vetted. Customers are left with unsafe, overpriced cars that should never have left the lot. Profit is clearly prioritized over safety and transparency. On top of that, they don't respect people's time. I've spent hours upon hours dealing with them, only to miss an annual family vacation because of this mess. Most importantly, the fact that this dealership and its personnel have no regard for the safety of the people they sell cars to is completely outrageous and I expected much, much more from a BMW dealer. Shop elsewhere your money, your time, and your safety are worth more than what you'll get here. More

DO NOT BUY A USED CAR HERE! Run away as fast as you can from BMW of San Luis Obispo. Their used car department is extremely shady. They do not properly inspect or repair vehicles and will lie straight to your face without hesitation. They are more than willing to send you and your family off in an unsafe car with no shame, leaving buyers in a devastating, dangerous, and costly position. The only ones who win here are the dealership, while customers are left stuck with unsafe, undrivable cars or forced to pay for expensive repairs. Their used car practices should be investigated. Don’t make the same mistake I did — please shop elsewhere. More

I have been going to Coast BMW for about 3 years and my best experiences have been because of their new service advisor, Karina Gonzales! Every time you enter the building she greets you with the biggest s best experiences have been because of their new service advisor, Karina Gonzales! Every time you enter the building she greets you with the biggest smile and makes you feel welcomed. She definitely brightens your day when you are there (whether it’s because you are getting something fixed or just some routine maintenance done). Her customer service is impeccable. She treats everyone so nice and as if they truly are family. And she truly is a BMW enthusiast so you know she cares about the brand she represents! Highly impressed! Will be recommending anyone I know with a BMW to head over to see Karina if they need to have service done with an stress-free experience. To have a service advisor like Karina to take care of you and your car is why BMW is such a respected brand. More

Parts couldn’t fix my spoiler on my brand new car that was falling off. Three different appointments and still couldn’t. Hilariously sad. Anyway, service manager wouldn’t do anything about the overspray I was falling off. Three different appointments and still couldn’t. Hilariously sad. Anyway, service manager wouldn’t do anything about the overspray I found and the calcium deposit on the rear window, indicating repairs. On a brand “new” car. Sold new damaged goods. The last straw was when Tony Vital, a SA, tried charging me $2,800 or so on a part that was supposedly causing my front left tires toe measurement to be off. So it was driving pretty bad. Tony tried to pull a fast one. I know he gets a cut. I of course didn’t go through with it. Found the part online for $398. Some lack character and respect, nothing new. BMW makes amazing cars, it’s a shame some people cannot have ownership of one without the ill advised tactics used by the places that sell them. All they do is sell them, that’s it. At least in my experience. Hope this helps someone. More

Overall good dealership just consistent problem with communication and execution. That is pretty much been the only thing consistent over the mini mini years of BMW. Like a communication/execution. Pre-Covid. I would set foot in BMW Slo. I would rather drive to Santa Maria. The last few years has shown some improvement but much more is needed. More

What a horrible experience. My boyfriend took his car in for an oil change at the dealership and the tech backed the car into a disabled parking sign. It created a sizable dent. My boyfriend took his car in for an oil change at the dealership and the tech backed the car into a disabled parking sign. It created a sizable dent. The dealership said they would repair it since they were at fault. Their "repair" did nothing to fix the damage. The behavior of Josh Luna was incredibly unprofessional as well. He barred us from the premises and the dealership is not going to fix the damage they caused. If you like your car DO NOT take it to this dealership. More
