Buyer Beware: How Noller Ford Mishandled Their Own Mistake, And Tried To Make Me Pay for It On July 12, 2025, I purchased a 2017 Jeep Patriot from Noller Ford of Topeka. At first, everything seemed Mistake, And Tried To Make Me Pay for It On July 12, 2025, I purchased a 2017 Jeep Patriot from Noller Ford of Topeka. At first, everything seemed great—the sales process was smooth, and I drove off the lot feeling good about the deal. That feeling didn’t last long. Just six days later, I received a call from the dealership informing me that they had made a serious mistake: the Jeep I had purchased had a large lien on it, and they couldn’t get me the title. I was asked to return the vehicle. While frustrating, I agreed, trusting they’d own the error and make it right. I was assured they’d get me into something just as nice, if not better, at a comparable price. I found a 2017 Hyundai Elantra on their lot—priced about $1,500 higher than the Jeep—and expressed interest. We scheduled an appointment for July 23. That’s when everything went downhill. After a test drive, we sat down to discuss numbers—and suddenly, the price had jumped by $1,200. When I questioned it, the Sales Manager casually said the price had “recently changed.” By the time all the added fees and charges were included, the Elantra that was supposed to be “comparable” ended up costing $3,680 more. That’s more than double the difference I was told to expect. When I pointed out how unfair this was, the manager quickly became defensive and dismissive. He claimed he had already “cut the price thousands” to “help me out”—as if I should be grateful to be paying significantly more for a situation they caused. At no point did anyone take responsibility for the mess or express any real concern for how badly they had derailed my purchase. Instead of standing behind their word, they acted like I was the problem. No accountability. No genuine effort to make things right. Just pressure to spend more money to solve their mistake. It didn’t end there. It took over three weeks and six separate requests just to get my refund—something the general manager, Jorgina, originally promised would be processed quickly. Each time I followed up, I got a new excuse: “The person who signs the checks isn’t in,” or “Management told us no checks can be issued today.” The only thing that finally moved the needle? Filing a complaint with the Attorney General’s office. Even then, instead of resolving the issue, they just kept trying to upsell me more cars—each one more expensive than the last. If you’re considering buying from Noller Ford of Topeka, proceed with extreme caution. Everything might go fine—until they make a mistake. And when that happens? Based on my experience, you’ll be left with painful story like mine. More
