TO: LisaLeeD Thank you for sharing your feedback. During our conversation, you shared that you had already taken your Tucson to two other shops that were unable to locate or service the EV/12-volt battery, and both had informed you that the vehicle may have electrical issues. I simply reviewed your warranty coverage and explained that the specific battery in question was no longer covered under the factory warranty. My intent was to provide accurate information so you could make an informed decision moving forward. I also advised that we would need the vehicle to remain with us in order to properly diagnose and address the issue. Please understand that our EV-certified technician is in high demand, and we try to schedule all EV-related services as efficiently as possible. As for communication, your service advisor, Jarett, has made attempts to reach you to go over the work completed and the associated charges. We're also happy to go over the details again at your convenience. Lastly, we would like to offer you a complimentary car wash. Please feel free to stop by at a time that works best for you. Dear John, If experienced mechanics would not touch the battery under the back seat in the Tucson Blue, I am not sure how I could be expected to know what was going on with the lithium battery. The biggest letdown is that I have no idea why this 3 year old $8000 battery failed and how I could keep it from happening again. I only spoke to you briefly on the way out the door. Gary talked to me on the phone and because he did not understand I was talking about the lithium battery, not the 12 volt, he was very unhelpful. I know nothing about these batteries and apparently I am not the only one. If anyone had taken 10 minutes to speak to me about my car and the issues with a practically inaccessible lithium battery under the back seat, the process would have been much better. It seems to me Crown is too busy to do a decent job. I have worked with Jarrit before and had a good experience, but for Crown to allow me to leave without any explanation of what went wrong with my 2022 car's lithium battery is inexcusable.
