I asked if he could do a little better on the price. He stated he would check with the manager (typical). He came back and said he could do a 1400 dollar discount. I told him that I would stop by in the afternoon. I signed all the papers even though there was no discount. Advertised selling price, crazy doc fee, inflated license fee. The car was nice so, ok. I explained i would like to pay 1k down and return on the weekend to finalize. Oh no he said, got to be finalized now. I was not prepared for "now". Again, he got permission for me to return on Friday. My bank (Regions) called Jamie to put the bank on the title app as lien holder. They refused. They stated I would have to use their own finance people. (kickbacks come to mind). My bank teller never heard this before. I managed to round up enough cash without a car loan. We arrived at the dealership Friday AM. After waiting for 2 hours they said I must have insurance on that car before I can leave, its the law! That is not the law. The law states you must have liability ins, NOT comprehensive. Lienholders require comprehensive. Before the GM starts preaching to me, he should know what he is talking about. I wish I would have torn up my paid in full check and walked out. It certainly did not help that my wife had loose stomach and had to visit the ladies room every 10/15 minutes. I will sell this car soon as I receive the title. Can't stand to look at it! More
