This was my first time at this dealership. The staff was friendly and very professional. Appointment for oil change and tire rotation took over 3 hours (3-615 pm) due to unexpected issues with other customers prior to me. Grace was the saving 'grace' for my appointment due to making sure both services were taken care of, gave me regular updates during my wait, and didn't charge me for my oil change due to the inconvenience of the long wait. I bought my car in Hampton, but came to Southern Hyundai Chesapeake due to it being close to home, previous years of service with my 2019 Santa Fe, and customer service advisors such as Grace. One sidebar item that is petty, but needs to addressed. The snacks/bottled water/coffee are an amenity for the customers, not the staff. Multiple staff members took advantage of this in front of us waiting. I would suggest having a separate snack/water/coffee for staff in the staff breakroom as a perk for them, too. Please commend Grace for her calm, pleasant manner and excellent customer service. Thank you! More

I had a frustrating experience with my state inspection this past Saturday due to a system outage that prevented the dealership from printing my sticker. However, I returned on Monday and the service advis this past Saturday due to a system outage that prevented the dealership from printing my sticker. However, I returned on Monday and the service advisors were very helpful and I also spoke with the Service Manager, Joe Wachner. Joe was a pleasure to work with; he listened to my concerns and took the time to thoroughly explain the state policies and legalities involved. Thanks to his professionalism, I had a very short wait time and left much happier than I was over the weekend. More

We have two 2019 Hyundai Tucsons. We had oil consumption and engine issues with both vehicles. Joe Wachner listened to our concerns, verified our vehicles were eligible for engine rep We had oil consumption and engine issues with both vehicles. Joe Wachner listened to our concerns, verified our vehicles were eligible for engine replacements under the extended warranty, and guided us through the process of having the engine replaced in both vehicles. Changing out an engine is a huge job and issues related to the removal and installation do happen. With our first vehicle, there was a relatively minor related issue and Mr.Wachner made sure to have it addressed and fixed quickly. With the second vehicle, there were a couple other related issues. Joe has been very helpful and earnest in working to address these issues and is in the process of making sure the vehicle performs as designed before the engine replacement. We currently have the Tucson in the shop now having the items addressed. Grace has been very nice and communicates with us via text. We are hoping to get this vehicle back soon and put these engine replacements behind us and use Southern Hyundai for all of our future maintenance on these vehicles. More
