Ram 1500 broken exhaust manifold stud. As I'd already gotten a high estimate elsewhere, called Cortese service as they sold me the truck a year before. Specifically asked worst case scenario. Called to make appt. and Brian then told me it could be as high as $1K. Got the "won't know until we look at it" story. Got to the appt. and Mike told me ~$1250. The capper to the whole deal was when Mike told me, "you probably didn't ask them to include the studs and gasket in the estimate". Can't believe he said that. How exactly were they going to do the repair without them? Then he said they could give me 10% off that price, and when I picked it up he said they saved me money somewhere else- but the bill was still $1214 out the door. Giving two stars as it appears- as far as I can tell- the repair was done properly. I now have over $3K in repairs in a vehicle I purchased a year ago from them, and they couldn't even cut me some slack on this repair. More
