We came to Ferman Volvo Cars of Tarpon Springs from Sarasota so my partner could buy a 2024 S60 plug-in hybrid. Then we were told a 2025 would be cheaper because of the federal government Clean Vehicle Sarasota so my partner could buy a 2024 S60 plug-in hybrid. Then we were told a 2025 would be cheaper because of the federal government Clean Vehicle Rebate then being offered. We test drove the new car and liked it a lot. The numbers, given the trade-in and rebate plus other credits from Volvo looked great. That's when I decided to get a new Volvo plug-in hybrid SUV myself. I had planned on waiting until next year for a new vehicle, but the opportunity was too good. I selected an XC90 and got several rebates and credits as well as a generous trade-in credit. The purchase price looked excellent. But Ferman wrote up as lease eventhough I was ready to pay. They said leasing was how to get the Clean Vehicle Credit, but that turns out not be be true. I was told I could simply buyout the lease at the first payment for the purchase price we were shown. But when we got the statements from Volvo Finance that buy-out was several thousand more than the purchase price. In the end, the cost of neither vehicle was as low as we had been led to believe. Now I am sorry we went to Ferman Volvo Cars of Tarpon Springs. More

We went up to Ferman Volvo from Sarasota to get a used S60 plug-in hybrid, but David Wolfe told us that incentives ad rebates would make getting a new one cheaper. We were so impressed by that, and the quality of Volvo vehicles that we about a new CX90 as well! Alas the deals turned out not be what we were told. Our purchases were written up as leases because, the finance man said, that was how we could get the US government clean vehicles rebate (not true). When the statement came from Volvo Financial, the pay off amount for my S60 was several thousand more than i had been lead to expect. Several phone calls to both the sales team member and financial specialist i worked with have not lead to satisfactory answers. So the cost of a 2025 S60 did not come out less than the 24, as we'd been told. I will note that there was no hard sell for add ons and warranties I also want to note the exceptional cleanliness of the facility. We love our new Volvos but we feel we've been taken advantage of by Ferman. It wasn't worth the trip to Tarpon Springs. More
