am writing to formally follow up on the ongoing issue with my 2017 Nissan Altima, VIN [insert VIN], which is currently undrivable due to a defective CVT transmission. It has now been [insert number of days/weeks] since we initially discussed this matter, and despite your previous statement that you were “working hard to resolve this quickly,” I have not received any update, phone call, or written communication from your dealership. I must also reiterate two serious concerns: Lack of Disclosure – I was never provided full and clear disclosure regarding the known issues with Nissan’s CVT transmissions prior to purchase. Forgery Allegation – I have clear evidence that my elderly mother’s signature was forged on an arbitration agreement document related to this vehicle. This is a serious matter, and I have retained copies of the document in question for my records. On [insert date], your Service Manager spoke with my mother, but when I returned home and attempted to call four separate times to speak with someone directly, my calls went unanswered. This continued lack of communication is unacceptable. I require the following within 5 business days: A written update on the status of my vehicle and the proposed resolution. An explanation of why I was never contacted after your initial response. A response to my allegation of forgery, and an outline of what steps your dealership will take to investigate. If I do not receive a satisfactory response in writing within that time frame, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter to: Nissan North America Corporate Office The South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs The South Carolina Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division The Better Business Bureau My legal counsel I would prefer to resolve this matter amicably and without the need for further escalation, but continued silence from your dealership leaves me no alternative.
