Dear Traynor1973: It should be noted that this is one of many reviews that you have posted on various social media sites regarding the purchase of your 2025 Genesis with your first reviews back in July, 2025,. That review was 6 weeks AFTER you purchased the vehicle. In those initial reviews, you did not mention anything about being given a substance, inside or outside of the dealership, as a means to coerce you to buy the vehicle. Your prior reviews were strictly limited to your frustration with our Service Department and the amount of gas the car used. You expressed interest in unwinding your purchase and to get back your trade-in. We expressed willingness to consider that option but you changed your mind which led to CBB's response to the original reviews set out below. The current review (now more than 4 months after the purchase) focuses on your brand-new claim of coercion by one of our salesmen who allegedly used Kratom to influence you to buy the Genesis. This is quite strange since in the 6 weeks that followed the sale you had many telephone calls with representatives of CBB where you expressed you were happy with the vehicle. You NEVER mentioned to anyone at CBB that you were coerced into buying the vehicle. (However, you did mention that your son and your "ex" were unhappy with you that you purchased the vehicle and wanted you to return it.) By now accusing the salesman directly and CBB as well of some level of criminal activity, this has taken your claim to a whole new level. To be clear, CBB asserts that your new claims are completely without any merit. CBB absolutely denies these allegations as all aspects of the sales process were handled on site. In fact, you called into CBB at 12:10 PM on the day that you bought the Genesis to inform the product specialist that you were coming to the store. Approximately two (2) hours later that very same day, you purchased the vehicle. This hardly supports your bogus claim that you were taken to a kratom bar prior to purchasing the Genesis. All of that said and has been stated to you numerous times before, CBB remains willing to consider trading you out of the Genesis---keeping in mind that you have had full use of the Genesis since June. Sincerely, Jack Schneider, Owner Response to the initial reviews posted in July, 2025: After reading your review, I promptly reached out to you to go over the issues you raised in your review. In our call, I did apologize for how you felt you were treated in our Service Department. That is not how we are supposed to treat our customers so rest assured, that I am personally handling that complaint as a means to improve our services. I did explain that the sputter and shaking was the effect of the auto-stop factory option that was on the Genesis which was designed to give the vehicle better mileage. It does make sense that you may have to fill the Genesis more often than the Lexus because the Genesis gas tank is considerably smaller. In our call, you asked if you still buy back the Lexus you traded in. I said that was possible and that I would help you in any way that I could. At that time you indicated that was acceptable to you. However, a few hours later, for reasons not entirely clear, you changed your mind. I still welcome the opportunity to resolve the issues that you have with the Genesis. Please feel free to contact me at the dealership at your convenience. Sincerely, Josh Bleckler, General Manager
