

I have been at the VW, Mitsubishi and Porsche dealership for 13 years and I've been working in the Finance department since 2010. I was born in West Plains, grew up in Thayer and moved to Ozark my freshman year of high school. I've been married for 37 years with 2 beautiful daughters and wonderful Granddaughter. Outside of work, I enjoy hanging with friends and my wife and I love our outings on my Harley. I learned from my dad that your word is your bond and at the end of the day, your word is all you truly have. So treat people with respect and always do what you say you will do. Let me start this by saying I purchased my VW Jetta SEL brand new from Napleton Auto Werks, Springfield on 3/11/2019. It’s has been nonstop issues since. If you’re not going to read this entire review plea brand new from Napleton Auto Werks, Springfield on 3/11/2019. It’s has been nonstop issues since. If you’re not going to read this entire review please read this part.. DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE HERE! DO NOT HAVE YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED HERE! After my oil change on 11/07/20 they had ordered new speakers to be installed which I had to come back for another day. When I returned on 11/28/20 my car was shifting weird between 1st and 2nd gear.. Weird because it is only a little over a year old?? The maintenance technicians supposedly could not find an issue – so I was made to go about my merry way. Come 10/07/21, my car was shifting extremely hard, and I made an appointment with Napleton where they replaced my instrument cluster. TWO DAYS LATER 10/09/21, the car is shifting WORSE than it was before they replaced the instrument cluster! During this time of repair, I was provided a 2022 VW Jetta that stalled on me in the middle of a busy intersection and would not allow me to drive over 35mph not even TWO HOURS after leaving the dealership. My transmission and cooler were replaced, and I was left in a rental until 10/20/21. During that time, the service department did not follow up with me.. I quit using the dealership for oil changes and to buy tires due to the lack of customer service & knowledge. Here we are 2022, my sunroof got stuck open. I contacted the dealership to manually close it as there were storms in the forecast. They refused to close it at the time I called and made me make an appointment two weeks out on 9/16. During this window of time before my appointment we had a treacherous storm/tsunami come through Springfied, MO. After multiple conversations with the service advisors they agreed to let me bring it in during the storm and manually close it - they did. They stated that the motor in the sunroof button was working fine and that it must be the switch. Great, then they tell me I need to keep my appointment for 9/16 to replace the button/switch and not to open it. During this time of waiting for my appointment my check engine light also came on and my car seemed to be shifting weird again. I dropped my car off on 9/16 at 7:30am when the doors opened. I DID NOT HEAR A SINGLE WORD from the dealership until I reached out at 2pm. They informed me that “there was nothing wrong with the sunroof and that it was closed and not stuck open”. DUH, it was closed because NAPLETON MANUALLY CLOSED IT and told me not to open it until my appointment when the button was replaced. This information came from the HATEFUL front desk worker. Whom I witnessed sitting at her desk eating and watching Netflix. WHAT A NICE JOB TO HAVE! After multiple back and forth calls about the sunroof they agreed it was faulty and would need a new switch/button. Along with that my car needed the EVAP canister replaced as well as the transmission body/valve as my car was in fact NOT shifting properly ONCE AGAIN. I go to pick up my vehicle on 10/20 after the dealership has had it for over a month. I got maybe five miles down the road and my check tire pressure light came on and said my back tire is losing air pressure! I pull over to find out there is a NAIL THE SIZE OF MY HEAD in my BRAND-NEW TIRES. Terry offered that I waste more of my time to repair something I did not do, showed the lack of accountability. With all of this being said, THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! This is honestly the worst dealership in the Mid West, I would have rather went to a buy here, pay here. I would have gotten a better deal and a more reliable vehicle. NAPLETON AUTOWERKS LACKS KNOWLEDGE in all departments and any sense of CUSTOMER SERVICE! There are not enough words to describe how PATHETIC NAPLETON AUTO WERKS is. I will be making this known to anyone I come across. I will NEVER suggest ANYONE to buy another vehicle from this lot I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from this lot! RUN FAR AWAY!! 0/10 would NEVER recommend! More

Jr was amazing. My husband hates salesman with a passion. Just got a 2019 Buick Encore from here today! I’ve been looking for the perfect one for about a month now. I live in St. Louis and was about to purchase one, but I wasn’t 100% satisfied. I decided to do one final search online and was lucky enough to find a match. I was worried about it being in Springfield since I live in St. Louis. I decided to call and get some information on it. I worked with Mike Moss and he was absolutely exceptional! The first thing he did was send me pictures, and I explained some of the engine issues that I noticed on the one I was thinking about purchasing. He immediately took it out for a drive to see if he noticed the issues I was explaining to him. He was so prompt and honest with me about the condition of the vehicle. I expressed my concerns about the distance and without hesitation he said he would meet me halfway somewhere! I also worked with Bill (don’t remember his last name, sorry Bill) in financing. He also was exceptional! We did everything over the phone, he went into thorough detail about everything, answered all of my questions, and was patient with me in going over everything to make sure we were on the same page! They happened to have the exact vehicle I was looking for but the service they offered on top of that is the reason I definitely recommend working with these great people! Awful This place has caused me so much money and stress already. I just bought a used car there three weeks ago and it is already no longer running. When I spoke to Bill Hall, the finance individual, I explained some of the issues my car was having and he told me to reset the transmission notification light....which obviously doesn’t fix the whole fact that my car isn’t running properly and revving up on its own, etc. The used car warranty is actual garbage and doesn’t cover major repairs. I will now spend thousands of dollars more to fix a used car that I even bought for more than it was worth. I understand there are positive reviews for this dealership and that is likely for new cars. What really can go wrong with a brand new car? But, the used car and service sales should be a testament to their character and hopefully will warn people to stay away. More

Couldn't have asked for a better experience! We originally wanted to simply test drive a vehicle. We were on the fence about what we wanted and were just planning on looking. I contacted JR via email and let him know what car we were interested in. He had the car pulled up front and ready for us to drive when we got there. JR was so knowledgeable and answered all of our (many) questions. We ended up finding another car and even though it was getting late he grabbed the keys and let us take it for a spin. We never felt pressured or rushed and he was such a pleasure to deal with that we ended up buying right then and there. If you are like me and dread car shopping because of the typical "high-pressure salesman" then I would suggest you contact JR. The whole process was so easy and quick that I still can't believe I have a brand new car sitting in my driveway! Thank you so much JR!! More
