I just want to start by saying that this dealership destroyed every chance of me buying a vehicle from Jim Hudson ever again. Since March 2021 I've showed interest in buying a Lexus IS500 Launch Edit destroyed every chance of me buying a vehicle from Jim Hudson ever again. Since March 2021 I've showed interest in buying a Lexus IS500 Launch Edition. I've been in contact with my sale agent ever since. I told the sales agent that I'm 100% onboard and that I'm willing to put down a deposit right away to ensure that I'm #1 in the list and I can get one. I was told that at that time they had no way to allocate the vehicle and they will not be taking deposits for it (I completely understand). Ever since March 2021 I've been in touch with my sales representative getting updates in the vehicle. There was so much they can do since this is a new vehicle. During this year I showed up to the dealership a few times to service one of my 3 other Lexus I've purchased from this place to ask about updates and with my card ready to drop a good deposit to ensure I get the car of my dreams. I was told in person by the floor manager Leo Luna that there were only 2 people interested in the vehicle and that I was #1; (I do have written proof of it also). During one of those visits I was told that the price of the vehicle was going to be MSRP and they will not negotiate due to the exclusivity of the car. I completely agreed on in and was also willing to lose my Active Duty Military incentive to get the car. After a few months of communication with my agent I get the message I've been waiting for,'' We got one car coming next month but documents need to be sign ASAP''. I told the agent that I would be there in a few hours to sign for it and start paperwork. A few minutes later I get another message saying that corporate decided to increase the price of the vehicle by $15,000 due to all the interest they've been getting in the car. I was also told that other agents were able to secure multiple deposits for $10,000 from other buyers for the vehicle, when I was told that It was not possible since they weren't taking any. This is not the first time I purchase a vehicle from Jim Hudson, this car would've been my 5th car from them in less than 2 years. During my last vehicle purchase I got better offers from other dealers in the Charlotte area but I decided that I would remain LOYAL to the people that were there for me to help me all this time, even if I have to spend a some more $$$. After the experience from yesterday 20 Dec 2021, I will tell you that I will never step foot in any of their dealerships. They rather lose a loyal customer who gives them business multiple times a year for one greedy sale cause that's what they are, GREEDY. I had verbal and written confirmation that I was the #1 customer in the line for the vehicle and that it was going to be sold at MSRP, but all that changed when they saw an opportunity to get more money from the situation. Hey I get it, they are a business and they need to make money, I agree 100%. But don't lie to your customers and change everything at the end when you see you can get advantage of the situation. My problem is only with management, my sales representative has always been great with me she's only the middle person, she always get 5 stars from me. After I was told that the price has changed and there's nothing they can do, I was told that management was going to contact me and explain or just talk to me and I'm still waiting... The thing is that I was not only interested in the IS 500, I want to get two 2022 NX by the end of the year, I guess I will take my business somewhere else. Jim Hudson, you just lost a LOYAL customer and I will make sure that anyone that I know that is interested in buying a Lexus or any brand that you represent will stay away from your dealers. You guys are GREEDY and do not care about your customers only money. I will make sure that my review is posted in every consumer rating available so people can see your true colors.
