Finance dept lied to me about having to buy an extended warranty in order to use Honda financing. I had the car for two weeks and then they called me and said they needed me to “sign a few more papers”… wh warranty in order to use Honda financing. I had the car for two weeks and then they called me and said they needed me to “sign a few more papers”… which was really that my financing wasn’t approved and they wanted me to sign a new deal with a higher interest rate and $160/mo higher payment. I said no thank you, that they could take their car back and give me my trade-in back. But my trade-in had already gone to auction. After saying “take the car back” and “why did you sell my trade-in prior to getting my approval?” enough times, I was able to speak to the director and he talked to Honda and was able to get me a better interest rate and $85/mo lower payment than the original deal, but that was only because they messed up and the car had already been registered to me and it would now be considered “used”. If not for that, I’m sure I would’ve just been SOL. More
