Initial 'fix' was to wait it out and see if goes away on its own. Real fix was to stabilize the rear window cowling. The second time, they were able to reduce the frequency and volume of the rattle. But, its still there and with the reduced noise level it was easy to determine that there are other areas with the same symptom. They were able to introduce a new scratch in the rear inside door panel, get two significant 'tar' spots on the car (hood and drivers door), and return the vehicle with a thick coating of dust ("ash").
