1999 Buick LeSabre Recall

Item Affected:
Date Announced:
Description of Recall:
These vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of FMVSS No. 102, "Transmission Shift Lever Sequence". If the link disconnects, the indicated gear on the transmission lever (PRNDL) may differ from the actual hydraulic state of the transmission. Dealers will replace the manual valve/link assembly with a replacement manual valve/link kit, featuring a spring-type retainer. Owner notification was expected to begin during May 1999. Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Oldsmobile at 1-800-442-6537.
