All in all I had a good experience buying my Ram Power Wagon. I found the vehicle I liked on line, booked an appointment with Vinny to test drive the vehicle. Upon arrival Vinny had the vehicle ready and warmed up. I filled out the necessary paper work and was able to test drive the vehicle without a sales person. That was a nice touch, as I was able to look at the vehicle and features at my own pace without someone giving me the sales spiel. After the test drive I met with Vinny and the sales manager, we were able to come up with a fair deal. The next day the vehicle was ready for pick up. It was clean, full of fuel and the added accessories were professionally installed as promised. Vinny and all the staff I dealt with were friendly and professional. The reason for 4 stars, as with most dealers, they are professional sales people and know how to close a deal. The first number they always present is the bi weekly payment, and try their best to avoid talking about the true numbers and fees. On average I buy 3-4 vehicles a year from various dealerships in the Edmonton area, and it is always the same. If you are not cautious you may over pay for a vehicle.

BEWARE WATCH YOUR CREDIT SCORE**Derrick will ruin it** - Pissed off Customer
In December 2019 I went to Derrick dodge to purchase a new truck, at that time I had only 2 payments left with a lender on a previous purchase. The deal was my financing for the new truck would included the 2 payments owing so when I sat down with the financing person to get the financing for the truck and agreed to let Derrick Dodge to run a credit check I was under the assumption that it would be run with the current lender that I still ahead 2 payments with. Well in January of 2020 to my horror I discovered that Derrick Dodge had run at least 8 credit checks against me all with different lending institutions and these credit checks weren’t just soft credit inquiries, these were all “ hard credit hits”, meaning for every inquiry my credit score dropped by 10-15 points.Do the math, that adds up to 80-120 point drop on my credit score. After having endured some financial hiccups in prior years I had worked extremely hard to restore my credit so that I would be able to buy a home again.It was at the time of applying for a mortgage that I discovered what Derrick dodge had done, and as a result of what they did my credit score has been diminished to the point where I no longer qualify for a mortgage.THANK YOU VERY MUCH, when I gave consent to run a credit check I never gave consent to blanket search 8 or more vendors, I Never gave consent to decimate my credit score, and the salt in the wound of all this is that the company that ended up financing my new truck was the same lender that financed my previous purchase with whom I still had a couple payments left, they never even ran a credit check on me , I’m assuming because I already had a loan with them and had a perfect 8 year track record with them.Then why the xxxx would Derrick dodge not have checked with them first before running 8 more , unauthorized checks. I am livid with the way I’ve been treated and irreversible damage that’s been done by the sleaziest dealership in Edmonton. I was told by Derrick dodge this is common practise in the industry, I say , xxxxxxxx, when someone approves a credit check, that is approval for one check, what person would give consent to have their score decimated to the point where they can’t buy a home.

The new car sales manager is cocky and disrespectful and obviously doesn’t know how to do his job.
After sitting down with a sales associate going through the whole process of working out the deal, which was a pretty good experience we got down to financing.. this is were the deal went south fast.
They had all my information about the vehicle and what I owed on my Tacoma. The info was given prior before they came at me with 212 biweekly at 3.99% so I haggled a bit to try and get some more thrown into the deal they weren’t budging at all so I agreed to the 212 biweekly and was happy about my new purchase signed the sales agreement not just the back of the 4 line but the front of the agreement.
Sales associate sam comes back oh we made a mistake here’s the biweekly payment 375$ we didn’t factor in the buyout of the Tacoma.
I said well thanks but I’m not gonna pay that good day. Sam then asked me to wait which at this point I just wanted my keys to get out of the dealership. The sales manager comes out trying to explain that he screwed up and the payments are the payments.
I told him no thanks I’m out. I don’t like the games you’re playing. He then proceeded to say “you’re the one playing games with us, you never gave us the information on how much you owed on the Tacoma.” “I’d be stupid to walk away from this deal“ and “Good luck getting a truck” as he was walking away.
I told him thanks for showing me how you do business I’ll be writing a review ! I then asked to see the general manager and I’m still waiting to hear back from him. This happened at roughly 1pm December 27, 2019
I recommend staying away from these guys.

Yesterday I had purchased a 2017 Dodge Ram SLT Outdoorsman. My salesman is Al Dewan. Al Dewan is my very good who I have the honour to work with when we worked for the automotive industry. Al is a very nice, yet very knowledgeable in the products and programs Capital Dodge. Al is make you treat you and respect you like family. That’s why is everyone I would highly recommend Al Dewan for his years in customer service, as well as his professionalism. Finance manager lied to me about why the cost of the vehicle I was leasing increased by $4000. Said it was the policy of the leasing company that I have to lease at full black book value, needed a car same day, months later called leasing company, told them what I thought about such a stupid policy, they told me it’s not true that they rely on dealer to provide them with the price, I was lied to, fraud, misrepresented to sign the lease, choose another dealer where you don’t feel filthy after leaving.

I had an awful experience dealing with this dealership. I am in Calgary and purchased a vehicle from this dealership that was delivered to me. I specifically asked if the vehicle had any scratches whatsoever and the condition of the headliner. The salesman explicitly stated that the vehicle was in "immaculate condition" and did not have a single scratch. He also said that the headliner was in immaculate condition. The vehicle was supposed to arrive before 6pm, but did not show up until after 9pm due to a snowstorm, which is understandable; however, once I cleaned the vehicle, there were three deep gauges from the bumper from the previous owner dragging something out of the back of the SUV. There were also 2 cigarette burns in the roof lining. When I spoke with a manager, Mr. Arabe, about this, he said if I wanted a vehicle that was in immaculate condition, I should not have bought a used vehicle. He said that they weren't willing to take the vehicle back or help with any costs to repair the damage. I should have known when I agreed to pay the asking price of the vehicle and they increased the asking price, simply saying that the salesman must have mis-posted the price of the vehicle. This whole car buying experience was terrible and I would never recommend this dealership to anyone.
