When I first started my car search Gus Brown was the second dealership I went to, That's where I first met Eric and tried a 2017 Chevy Sonic. But I just wasn't ready to commit to a particular car/brand. No matter. It was still a very good first impression as I did not feel pressured in the slightest. I then went to numerous dealerships in the Durham Region/GTA and tried different makes/models. Unfortunately, I did not have such a good experience at all of these establishments. And when I finally made my decision as to what I wanted to drive, I didn't think twice. I went back to Gus Brown in Whitby. Eric and Trudy made the whole experience very pleasurable and seamless. Would I recommend Gus Brown? Like I said, I wouldn't think twice. From the first minute I stepped into the dealership to the moment I left, it was an awesome experience!
Horrible Service - Amanda Dillon
I purchased a 2018 Equinox premier, and have been getting all the work/repairs done at Gus Brown. So far to date I have had the following issues:
1. Clunk in rear suspension;
2. Wireless charging pad not working;
3. Clunk noise under gas pedal (still not fixed);
4. Rattle noise in muffler (was replaced and needs to be replaced again);
5. Battery replaced;
6. Front brake pulsation;
7. Rear differential replaced (in a car less than a year old!);
8. Driver side trim panel coming away from fender by tire;
9. Torque converter in the transmission!!!!
10. Radio screen overheats and flashes from screen to screen to screen.
I have been in a rental since June. It is now September. The car is still not fixed. I have been in touch with GM Canada and have been dealing with the Executive Review Board. We got to the point that the Service Manager (Mike) and the lady from the Executive Review Board (Crystal) both agreed that there has been far too many issues with the vehicle and because we have a child with health concerns that we travel to Sick Kids with on a regular basis, they wanted us out of the car. It is unreliable. The District Manager has said no, we are getting the car fixed and we can take it or leave it. I would like to mention there is a huge conflict of interest in regards to this district manager. He should not be making any decision on the vehicle as he has bias towards me.
We went from they were trying to get me out of the car to now, it basically sucks to be me and they will fix the car. They have no care for the fact that I am travelling long distances with my child and have a lemon of a vehicle. They do not back their product. I would not recommend this dealership or GM as a whole. My car is still sitting at the dealership waiting to be ‘fixed’. I have only ever bought GM but this will be the last time I ever purchase a GM vehicle if this is how you treat your customers.

I didn't bought my 2017 Cadillac XT5 at nurse, but I get my servicing done at nurse and the service adviser or off the chain, I went in recently for some warranty work and as usual I was not disappointed, the technicians did a awesome job in correcting the problem, but i must make special mention of Christina, awesome personality did fantastic in catering to all my needs including getting me a rental, if you have a GM vehicle never think twice about nurse.

I purchased a new 2017 Cadillac from Richard Bartley whom I felt was quite genuine at the time but believe me how I was fooled as I called twice and never received a call back and for the first call , he claimed the "GIRL" placed the message in the wrong pigeon hole ( Could Happen) the second call I left him a message with the front desk for him to call, and he claimed later he called but my tape message was full, Absolute lie as no time has my tape machine been full or had any more then 2 calls recorded on it. I put a call in got Todd Williamson the General Manager and was told he was with a customer but they would have him call me right back when available, Less then 30 seconds later I received a call from Richard Bartley saying coud he assist, i told him no I wanted Todd. Eventually the receptionist said Todd must have given my number for Richard to call me????, Eventually talked to Todd who claimed he didn't ask Richard to call me. Sombody is not being straight up with me or the Front Desk Clerk and Richard are treating Todd like a mushroom and keeping him in the dark and just keep pilling the you know what on top.
Either way I would not do business with Williamson again and also never recommend any one else either.
Extremely disappointed in both Todd and Richard.
