Outstanding New Car purchase experience I had done my homework and was solidly prepared to buy a hybrid vehicle to replace my '99Chevy Cavallier. I researched on line and made a list of the top 5 cars I wanted to test drive. I did go to all 5 dealerships. Honda didn't have any hybrid models and the salesman tried to talk me out of purchasing one, Toyota wouldn't give me the time of day despite visiting the dealership twice. Ford and Mazda were "squishy" and the dashboard was overwhelming. I didn't know where to look, there was so much going on. I couldn't even find the speedometer in the Mazda! KIA was the second dealership I visited and was BY FAR the friendliest, most helpful dealership I visited in my 2 day search. Yemi was good natured enough to climb into the backseat so I could be sure there was headroom for my 6 foot son! The Optima Hybrid was not available but I was able to test drive the non-hybrid model. It was roomy and user friendly, had many features my poor 17 year old car did not have (of course) but not so much as to overwhelm me. When I decided to go with the KIA, one was ordered from ThunderBay and arrived in just a few days. I specifically wanted the base model as the roof was higher and I sunburn so badly I'd never use the sky light. I am SO very pleased with my KIA Optima Hybrid. It has all the functions I want and none that I didn't and it doesn't cause my poor brain to freeze with too much technology. Like Goldilocks and the 3 bears, this car is "just right" for me and my family. I brag about how great the staff are to my co-workers. When I picked up my car after having winter tires and command start installed, I brought some baking to say thank you, which was very much appreciated particularly by Kirten with a K! I have to give special mention to Derek Meikle who made a contribution towards a Christmas dinner for a co-worker of mine who was struck with cancer. His generosity brought me to tears, such a genuinely lovely soul! The shuttle driver, who's name starts with "N" from Nottingham was also delightful and earned his own bag of goodies. I tend to take very good care of my cars. Each one I've owned has lasted at least 16 years. This is the first brand new, never been owned by anyone else car I've ever owned. If this car lasts like my others have, and I have no reason to believe it won't, this will likely be my second to last car. I think I've made a great choice. Thank you KIA! More

When we made our decision it was up to Derek, to make the deal work within our budget. Tires Kias service related to the problems with my tires deflation was excellent. They cleaned all alloy rims and installed new valve stems at no charge. After 2 weeks there was still problems with both tires on the drivers side. Without going into detail the problem was resolved at no cost. Apparently they used nitrogen as well this last time to help with the deflation. More

The only glitch in this transaction, and no fault of this dealership, was the inability to locate my chosen vehicle (black, 2016 Kia Soul) in a country-wide search.
