After 3 years, one bad experience is enough to make me leave Bought 2 vehicles and serviced both loyally since buying them, one used and one brand new. Started the process to buy a new Colorado the other day and Bought 2 vehicles and serviced both loyally since buying them, one used and one brand new. Started the process to buy a new Colorado the other day and all went well with my sales rep and settled on a lease option and the truck myself and wife wanted. Kicked to finance side to get that going and that's when it went down hill. Had a conditional approval for a little less then what was needed for the truck and was asked to check with another lender which I approved. Got a call back the next day with a declined and was told that's all they could do. Wasn't i approved but for a lesser amount? guess they didn't want to discus other options with me felt kind like my money wasn't good enough. I checked my credit report earlier that day and saw 3 hits on it, one gm lease one TD finance and one for the credit union i approved, but i did not approve the TD check. Got into an argument about why they went to TD and got nothing but excuses, tried to say I approved it when I did not. Was told nothing could be done and then was hung up on and no return call. The finance rep was extremely confrontational when I questioned why so many hits to my credit were needed, really felt disrespected by her and not at all like a valued customer with years of loyalty. I called back after 10 mins and talked to the sale manager, told him the whole story and when it was all done i said I don't know what can be done but I am not a happy customer. Response? "well after everything you have told me I don't know what we can do" Really? am I not a loyal long time customer that deserves something here? nope. No sorry nothing,said he hoped we could continue doing business,said I could have a different rep, but basically backed up their finance rep and accused me of not understanding credit and assured me that the finance rep knows what they are doing. I gave this 24 hours for the sale rep, manager, finance, anyone to call back and make this right and no one has. Guess my business isn't worth their time. More
