Stricklands lakeshore Manny Neves was awesome with me. I'm an older woman on my own and Manny made me feel like he cared and because of him I felt confident that he would ensure I got into a good vehicle at a good price, even though I didn't have a man with me. On the other hand, the finance man Joel Johnston, was very arrogant and rude. He made me feel very insignificant. The first day, he had me sign a purchase agreement which stated 15,000 approx. Total. He told me 8.9% financing. I wanted to talk about warranties but I felt rushed out and he never spent any time discussing things with me. I had mentioned that I wanted to know what warranties were avail. But I was flustered due to his arrogance. I was told i would be picking up my car on Tuesday January 2.. Joel called me Tuesday evening. My car wasn't ready, possibly not for another day or 2. I was fine with that. But I questioned the purchase agreement because he said my payments would be much higher than my calculations. He said oh well the percentage of interest is gonna be 10.49 now. That's a huge difference. I asked if I got a cosigner would it help. He said 'probably, I'm not sure. He did not offer me the option of taking that route. We hung up . I again calculated the numbers but they didn't add up. I sent him a text saying please get the numbers straight. I'm not buying a big mac. Now, on Friday when I picked my car Up, Joel was extremely rude. Wouldn't even speak to me. I mean extremely rude. Manny finished up. My friend was with me. I was handed a second purchase agreement to sign. There was added charges that were not discussed or explained to me. The total cost went from 15804.90 to 17295.18 plus the interest loan % almost 2 points higher. Nobody called me during the 3 days till Friday, to discuss this price increase, interest increase, nothing. Nobody apologized. Manny was very professional. Joel is truly an embarrassment to your company. Nobody got in my car with me to show me how to use some of the features. Nobody went over extra charges with me such as ppsa charge. This was a 670.61 charge. I think I deserved an explanation so I could understand my agreement. I also wanted new plates. Manny and I discussed this in detail because I was joking on the first day I went in , that I was almost as excited about new plates as I was about the car. My plates were over 10 years old. On my 1st and 2nd agreement a 177.00 charge was added for License fee. This included new plates. On pick up day, they put my old plates on. The charge was still on my agreement. I'm happy my friend noticed. But even so, they only gave me 25$ back. I'm sure it's more than 25$ for new plates and I'm now stuck with old worn out plates till next year and i will have to pay more than 25$ when I do get new plates. All in all Manny did a decent job yet Joel took all of the excitement of getting a new Car, out of my experience. I actually felt like I was bothering Joel when I came to pick it up. More

Finally, I gave them a call to ask some questions that I had about buying a car since I had never actually bought a car before. Manny answered and invited me down to work out the numbers and actually look at the car. When I got there a few minutes later, Manny had already gotten the Cruze quickly cleaned and ready for a test drive. I took out the car and was pretty much ready to buy it. Manny told me there was a car that was exactly the same down to the colour with a few more kilometres on it for $1000 cheaper. I ended up choosing that one. Joel, in the business office, was very straight forward and up front with me about the extras that could be added (i.e. extended warranty, etc). He told me what he would recommend but he didn't pressure me and let me choose what I wanted. I left there extremely happy and excited to pick up my car a day and a half later. I picked up my Cruze yesterday and it was a quick process of signing a couple more things and switching the plates. Then the keys were mine! The car is great and the deal I got and all the stuff included in the car is amazing. I was very happy with the whole process and I am glad I went. It was an easy process and the customer service I received was great! I will be recommending Stricklands to any one who mentions to me they are looking for a car. Thank you Manny, Joel & Stricklands. Transparent Deal & Easy Choice Selection was a piece of cake because of the research I did before visiting. But the sales person did a very good job in showing me the alternative options when I couldn't find the car that I saw online (Car was sold out!!) The other thing that I liked about the dealership is they are transparent about even the smallest problems with the car. Mine had two spares re-painted. Cons: * I felt the interest rates are pretty high as compared to the other dealerships I've seen. Best they can do is 5.9% p.a for a good credit. * No extras on the car - A good set of floor mats with the car would've been nice. More

Very pleased with everything. Eric was very efficient I would not only recommend Strickland's to anyone that is looking for a vehicle but I truly enjoyed the experience of working with Eric. He is so per I would not only recommend Strickland's to anyone that is looking for a vehicle but I truly enjoyed the experience of working with Eric. He is so personable he really made this a fun experience, I have never experienced that when I purchased a car before. I believe that says alot about him as a person but his ability to interact with people. I gave a few of his cards out and will always recommend him to anyone. Because I was in an accident I felt secure in knowing that Eric was taking care of everything for me. Truly a very pleasant experience. More

Kevan was so kind, and polite and really made me feel comfortable while I was trying to understand the finance end of things. I can tell he actually knows what he's talking about when it comes to the mechanics of a car aswell, which is also reassuring.
