Despite having connected with a salesperson and confirming that 2 vehicles that we wanted to test out were on the lot, they were no-where to be found. An additional vehicle in our price range was also strangely missing. I saw with my own eyes that all 3 vehicles were in the computer as being in the Stratford location. An hour was wasted at the dealership while staff went on searches for the missing keys/vans. Not to mention the wasted hour driving there and back. When given the opportunity to discuss the situation with Management instead of taking ownership for the problem and discussing how they would take steps to ensure it wouldn't happen again they blamed the salesperson I had connected with and claimed he had misled us on purpose to up-sell us. This dealership claims honesty and hassle-free transactions, this was NONE of those things. They did offer to reimburse us for our gas, however we had to ask again for that reimbursement after one of the vehicles we were looking for was 'found' at the Toyota dealership, but again, was not actually there. The one good thing was Stan Olech, who tried his hardest to find us something that would work for us and was entirely apologetic for all of the issues. Avoid this dealership, Management does not seem interested in fixing their internal issues. More
Would NOT recommend - falsely advertise vehicles as having navigation systems when they don't (don't even bother changing ad after they have been made aware of the "mista - falsely advertise vehicles as having navigation systems when they don't (don't even bother changing ad after they have been made aware of the "mistake") - do not maintain cars while at dealership or do pre-purchase inspections - would not feel confident purchasing any vehicle from this dealership More

Not satisfied at all I bought a used vechicle at Stricklands in Stratford less then a year ago. 2 days after my purchase the check engine light came on. I called the deale I bought a used vechicle at Stricklands in Stratford less then a year ago. 2 days after my purchase the check engine light came on. I called the dealership and explained the situation and they told me to bring in the car and they would fix the problem for me. I brought the vechicle in on 2 different occasions and both times I left the engine light was still on. I now have to try and find a mechanic to fix the problem because I have to have an etest done next month. When I bought it I was hoping to have a reliable used vehicle. More
Don't buy your car here I recently purchased a 2013 vehicle at Strickland's. Within 10 days of having the car, I've had to replace the turbo charge system and transmission. T I recently purchased a 2013 vehicle at Strickland's. Within 10 days of having the car, I've had to replace the turbo charge system and transmission. The oil had a leak, right turn signal on the mirror had to be replaced, and one of the tires had air leaks in it. I've been called the dealership for 3 days and no one has been returning my phone calls. What a horrible experience! More
just say no I just purchased a car Strickland's with the almost exactly the same outcome as shuff. This key thing must be their favourite scam. I also had sales I just purchased a car Strickland's with the almost exactly the same outcome as shuff. This key thing must be their favourite scam. I also had salesman Steve. Spun the wheel and got.......nothing, pretty sure they forgot. If I hadn't really wanted this car I would not have bought a car here. Will let everyone I know about my experience as they don't seemed to concerned. More

Steve was pleasant to deal with (although he clearly needs to improve his computer skills – watching him try to manipulate the in-house system was painful). We ended up settling on a car, and the paperwork ensured, taking a ridiculous amount of time, but probably not all that unusual. All was well until we discovered, at the very end of the process, with no forewarning, that the car we wanted only had one key. Now, these keys are the type that have the door lock and trunk opener remotes imbedded in the key itself. They cost… well, I don’t know how much they actually COST, but Strickland wanted $250 for a second key. What auto dealer sells a car with only one key? And without mentioning this somewhere along the process?? Anyway, we were quite irritated at this somewhat deceptive behaviour. And they took zero responsibility for this outcome, despite the fact that Steve knew we were feeling deceived. They refused to even lower the price of the second key a bit. (They did, eventually, offer to lower the price of the extended warranty, but they already knew we didn’t want an extended warranty, so that wasn’t much of a concession.) So, I wish I could say Strickland was a good place to deal with, but this (seeming relatively minor) experience makes me think that they are probably just as hard-nosed, the-xxxx-with-the-customer about other things also. I won’t be going there again. More
Waste of my time I visited this dealership twice over the span of approx. a week. We came in and did a bunch of paperwork to do a pre-approved amount to find out what I visited this dealership twice over the span of approx. a week. We came in and did a bunch of paperwork to do a pre-approved amount to find out what we were working with. Rob had called us and told us that he had an approval and wanted us to come in. We went in and test drove a bunch of vehicles that he had told us we were qualified for. We picked one and he told us we could pick it up probably Monday night, Wednesday at the latest. The Monday I called and left a message with Rob asking about the vehicle, and later that night a very rude lady called (i believe her name was Megan or something the like) and told us to pick up our deposit- which I was told I have to wait a few days to pick up...along with my registration....Really disappointed here More

On pickup the vehicle had not been cleaned, per sale agreement supposed to have rear fender dent buffed/fix which was not addressed at all, won a customer "prize" on sale which did not receive, navigation chip to be installed in vehicle they said was mistakenly given to another vehicle and did not have any more on site so navigation was not working upon pick up. Plates were supposed to be on the vehicle and had to wait hour and half for the plates to be processed. Steve (salesman) picked up following week to get the vehicle cleaned, dent fixed and navigation installed. Truck specs listed navigation in the vehicle sold to us. Received a call on three days after pickup that the vehicle did not have navigation system at all. The specs as per the contract we signed for the vehicle was incorrect and falsely represented. Took until 2 weeks for Stricklands to finally provide with resolution was to provide 500 off list price with a garmin navigation system. The price difference between a ford flex without navigation and with navigation is approximately 2000.00. I have never experienced in my life this much poor customer service. Steve our sales man had zero attention to detail and the CFO at Stricklands did not try to provide us with a reasonable solution given all the mistakes and poor attention to quality that we had experienced at their company. I would like to inform other consumers to stay away from Strickland Auto. They clearly have zero business ethics when dealing with customers that have been done wrong by them. There was zero attempt into making a settlement or agreement that both parties were happy. Any other individuals looking for used cars at their dealership should know in advance that they deliver zero customer service. More
