I recently traded in my leased vehicle to purchase a new Ford Bronco from Pringle Ford, working primarily with John and briefly with the owner, Larry. While I tried to negotiate on price, I ultimately accepted their offer because it was the only unit available. That decision was mine. What followed, however, was entirely on them. I provided everything they asked for—specifically, the official Nissan Canada Finance lease buyout quote, not an estimate, but the actual document they requested. I also submitted trade values from other dealerships, and confirmed multiple times that nothing else was needed from me, especially considering I was driving two hours to pick up the vehicle. Each time, I was reassured everything was handled. At delivery, both John and Larry reviewed everything, gave the green light, and completed the deal. Then, days later, I was contacted and told I now owed them money—because they failed to complete their part of the process: contacting a Nissan dealership (not Nissan Canada directly) to get the bill of sale and admin fee required for a lease buyout. That step is standard procedure for dealerships, not something the customer is expected to know or handle. Rather than taking ownership of that oversight, they tried to pass the cost onto me. I had zero involvement in that part of the transaction—and frankly, it’s not my responsibility to manage dealer-to-dealer logistics. After an exhausting back-and-forth, I agreed to split the fee simply to close the chapter. Let’s be clear: • I provided every document they asked for, including the exact lease buyout • I accepted a trade-in offer $500 lower than three other dealers • I was then expected to pay for a mistake that was entirely theirs • And they acknowledged, in writing, that they understood my frustration I have every piece of documentation and proof to support this review. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and accountability was incredibly disappointing. Amazing Service I call my dealer at 9:30 pm at home on a Friday night and his response was I can meet you at the dealership at 9:00 am and open up the parts departmen I call my dealer at 9:30 pm at home on a Friday night and his response was I can meet you at the dealership at 9:00 am and open up the parts department for you ( they are closed Saturdays in the summer) that a 10 star service in my book. Would never buy another Ford when you have had ongoing problems for 3 years and can't get it resolved on a new vehicle that's a problem. Never offered a loaner vehicle.
