The side panel was attached with a screw and still loose. The mileage was in our opinion changed because the van showed a lot of wear. We were told by the dealer he would pay our hotel for one night ( two day drive from home) and did not pay. We had made a deposit and it was understood we would only buy it if we were satisfied. Did not return our deposit or even part of it. Would never buy vehicle from this dealer. More

Poor Customer Service They will not contact you about anything even if you apply for financing for a car on their lot. Not sure why Ben is getting a bad reputation...! I must say, I don't understand the two complaints about Ben. I've known him for over 6 years, bought two cars from him, and referred friends and fami I must say, I don't understand the two complaints about Ben. I've known him for over 6 years, bought two cars from him, and referred friends and family to him. He runs a tight efficient business (low overhead) and transfers those cost savings down to his customers. If you compare his prices to other VW Dealers for used "off lease" vehicles, you'll find Ben's prices to be very good. I also found Ben to be very transparent, with no hidden "admin fees". A lot of other dealers list a price, but when it comes to buy the car they start tacking on a bunch of other fees. For example: "Do you want that vehicle e-tested and safety certified? Well that will cost you our standard fee of $400." (Ben includes e-test & safety) Not to mention a CarProof report. Read the fine print...those places are out there. Ben doesn't have any hidden charges/fees and provides a free CarProof report. When I look at all the reviews on this site, most give Ben 5 starts across the board, except for a couple…which makes me wonder: who is being honest? For example, who buys a car with a leaky rad? Don’t you think you would notice the coolant on the ground? Also, the fact Ben was willing to take the car to another VW dealer shows he has nothing to hide. How many other used car dealers are willing to do that? Pressured to buy? That is not Ben at all. He is one of the most considerate car salesmen you’ll ever meet. More

Ben was honest and direct with every detail providing more than enough information and reassurance that this car was, what it was. CarProof was clear of any issues or concerns. Ben went out of his way to make this purchase personal for me by taking the time to explain every detail, and to insure that most of all I was happy. His goal was to provide excellent service and honesty whether I bought a car from him or not, and he did this perfectly. I was litterally just about to buy the car, sat down and even started the paper work. He then quickly summarizes 2 previous accidents about the car and refuses to allow me to take the car to a mechanic of my choice. Instead, he insists that he take it to a volkswagen dealership himself to get it inspected and from there he would show me the paperwork. I walked out. If you enjoy being pressured into spending thousands and buying an unreliable car, Northwest Autohaus is the place for you. More

When I saw the ad for this car I couldn't believe the price, 12k for a 2011 TDI jetta at 70k km with clean CarProof was very reasonable. Buying a second car, I expected some problems. We inspected the car, right back door wasn't working. He fixed it before safety and after I make the payment I realized the AC wasn't working. The owner took full responsibility and change the compressor of the AC. Before me he didnt accept the mechanics offer to replace it with a used part. He ordered a brand new AC compressor online for express delivery. We received it the next day and they changed it. He made 800 dollars expense for a car he already sold and got paid for. I'm very pleased with the service and pricing of this dealer and I strongly recommend to everyone. More

I decided to ask him if he knew where I could get my other car detailed and he offered to do it for me. His employees vacuumed and cleaned my other car, that wasn't even bought from them, and didn't take a penny from me because he knew I was a student. People like them, in this business, is hard to find! More
