Unreliable diagnostics My 2010 Tiguan has been seen in the past year for the 'engine light' on with no clear solution. The engine light has been on for more than a year now. My 2010 Tiguan has been seen in the past year for the 'engine light' on with no clear solution. The engine light has been on for more than a year now. The previous visit to the service shop two weeks ago is a more serious one. The engine and EPC lights are on and I wanted a 150,000 km service. Took the car to the shop and told them about the service required + the engine and EPC lights issues. I got called to pick up the car after the 'service' and found the car running outside the shop. After paying for the service and getting into the car, it stalled. I re-started it and stalled again. Went back to the shop and complained about it. The car was taken back to the shop. After 2 hours of waiting for nothing, I was told that the car is not safe to drive unless a repair is done costing more than $2000. The car was running ok before it went to the shop and now I couldn't drive it? Go figure. More
