Murray Chevrolet Cadillac Lethbridge

BUYER BEWARE: Murray Chev botched a repair on my car, costing me thousands of dollars in repairs and causing subsequent engine damage. Multiple attempts to reach the Service Manager (Michelle) and Genera costing me thousands of dollars in repairs and causing subsequent engine damage. Multiple attempts to reach the Service Manager (Michelle) and General Manager (Ryan) went without any response, save for a dismissive voicemail from Michelle. The president, Chris, however, was kind enough to direct me that, "If you are trying to blame us for the subsequent engine failure on your car, I thinking you are looking to try and blame someone for an unfortunate mechanical event on your 12 year old car with over 160,000 km." In reality, all I have been asking for is for them to provide their supporting documentation that the repair had been completed fully, following General Motor's service bulletin, (PIP5197L). As they have consistently ignored that request, and failed to provide any documentation or response at all regarding it, I can only assume that the repair was not followed, and that this is an attempt by them to mitigate liability on their end. Chris did express that he was confident in the abilities of his team to handle the matter, which proved to be misplaced confidence, as I never heard from any staff member again - unless what he was relying on was their ability to ignore the concern in hopes that it would magically disappear. I also find it alarming that the President of the dealership seemingly suggests that a GM vehicle should not have a life expectancy beyond 12 years or 160,000km. Given that I am now in the market for a new vehicle, that information will obviously play into that decision and I will choose a brand with a longer life expectancy, and certainly from a dealership with more integrity and professionalism.
