I purchased a brand-new 2025 Mazda 3 on April 23rd. Shortly after taking possession, I discovered a pre-existing factory paint defect and early corrosion at the right taillight seam. Recent photographs confirm the corrosion is active and progressing, with visible paint lifting and subsurface oxidation spreading along the seam. This is a clear factory adhesion failure, not wear-and-tear, and it should have been caught during Mazda de Laval’s Pre- Delivery Inspection (PDI). No customer spending their hard-earned money expects a brand-new car to be delivered with a pre-existing defect missed by the dealership's own inspection. We sent clear photographic proof to the team, but Mazda de Laval has completely ignored our communications. This absolute lack of basic after-sales service and care is stunning. As a client of 17 years, I am utterly shocked; being ignored after discovering a factory defect has entirely shaken my confidence, and my trust in both the Mazda brand and this dealership is practically zero. Under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act (CPA), a brand-new vehicle must be fit for normal use (Sections 37, 38), free of hidden defects where production flaws are legally presumed to predate delivery (Section 53), and match its exact description and representation (Sections 40, 219, 228). Delivering a new car with active seam corrosion directly violates these statutory requirements, constituting a clear breach of acceptable quality and a hidden defect that compromises long-term durability. I expect an immediate response from senior management with a written commitment and a clear timeline for a proper, permanent warranty repair. If the dealership continues to ignore this pre-delivery defect, I will escalate this matter to Mazda Canada and pursue all legal remedies available under the Consumer Protection Act. More

Avoid the service department of this place, they are thieves, literally. They only tell you if the inspection is under warranty if the car enters the garage, how naïve is that? And once the inspection of a simple battery has been done, they tell you we have to charge you $91 tax in for a battery check, knowing that my 2022 vehicle is still under two warranties and I have asked the guy thrice to make sure I don't pay a penny. They are thieves especially this guy called Jimmy. You want to rob your customers, then handle the bad reputation; I am going to post this on my entire social media accounts and spread it with my connections. Good luck with your $91 but you're going to lose much more customers and money, trust me, I don't joke. You have messed with the wrong customer. More

I give them a 4.5 star which is pretty close to excellent. Reason for lost points are missing papers both at finance meeting and when receiving the vehicle, the finance person never returned my calls, a seemingly inexperienced after sell rep and seemingly overworked cleaning team that didn’t finish cleaning the car and the other wheels I was told would be done. Again the General Manager was fantastic. I do recommend this dealer. More
