After leaving and driving home I should have turned around and went back. Oil change & Winter tires were put on, car was shaking really bad while driving on the highway. Will be contacting the service dept tomorrow to discuss. Was suppose to get a Roots Bag for this special and didn’t receive it either. Back the next day and they balanced the tires and explained why the car shook so badly. Gave me 10% discount on that service and also got the cooler bag. Car is fine now, maybe balancing wheels should be automatic when rotating or putting on winter tires. More
I'm editing my review because of how things have transpired since my original review. My 2018 Elantra had an issue with the dash temperature gauge. After some time, the dealer agreed to fix it. There was some miscommunication that led to my negative review. I have changed the review for Tyler, as he has, since the miscommunication, been easy to deal with. I have also given a rating for Chris as he has been very helpful. I can not, in good judgment give the dealership, or Hyundai in general a good rating, and I'll explain why. Today (November 10th, 2020) Tyler calls me and says they think they have fixed the problem (after having the car for over a month). Not a good start to the day. I call Chris and we have a discussion where he informs me that Hyundai will not authorize anything else unless then can replicate the issue (which they did, but only once). Hearing this Was very upsetting, and I get that Guelph Hyundai was not happy with this either, as evidently, Hyundai will not reimburse the dealer for the time spent working on the vehicle. That's why Hyundai gets a bad rating. As for the dealer... after driving away from the dealer, everything appears to be working fine. On my lunch break at work, I plug my phone into the USB port, and nothing. No connection, no charging. I bring the phone AND the cable into work and test them. They are working fine. I have worked in services and complaints departments in the past, and when you have a customer who is having a big issue, you make sure that everything is working perfectly before you give them their item back. I know the USB is an easy fix for the technicians, but why wasn't it tested before giving it back to me? More

They were my second trip to do a test drive. I worked with Jesse. Courteous, pilot, not pushy. They wouldn't haggle on the van (Sienna), which is their policy. They didn't give me much on my trade-in, but based on what I heard elsewhere, it was consistent. I was going to give them a 4 star rating (which I think is a solid A), but I'll give them 5 because they screwed up. I went to pick up my van, and when I got there, Jesse seemed to disappear for 15 minutes, going in and out of rooms. I thought they had mistakenly double-sold the van. He eventually came out with another employee (whose name I don't know). They apologized and said the van wasn't ready. It hadn't been detailed and a small dent fixed. What was impressive, is how genuinely sorry they were. I almost felt bad for them. They gave me the option of waiting around while they did it, or if I could wait a few days (over the weekend), they'd get everything taken care of, give me $100 gas card (for my wasted drive that day), and have the van delivered right to my house where they'd do the plate transfer. Sure enough, Monday at noon, the van arrived, all cleaned up and addressed. Everyone screws up at some point, and it's how it's addressed that shows what a company is really about. More
