Good evening, Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Chris Newman and I am the Fixed Operations Manager here at Guelph Hyundai. First and foremost, please allow me to apologize for a level of service that you felt was sub par. We take our customer service efforts very seriously and make every effort to ensure our clients are satisfied with the level of service they receive while entrusting their vehicle to our care. I would also like to extend a sincere thank you for bringing your experience to my attention. I will investigate your claims thoroughly to determine where and/or if we dropped the ball, how we can prevent this from occurring again. I would like to ask you a few questions about your experience if you could be so kind. You have me at a bit of a disadvantage as I am unsure to whom I am speaking. I have pulled the work orders from Sat 08/15/15 and have no 2013 Elantra's through our shop for that date. If you wouldn't mind I would like to be able to pull the repair order to investigate your concerns more in depth. The statement about the brakes concerns me greatly however. I have faith in my staff and the level of technical expertise found in the years of experience on my shop floor, however you said another facility said the brakes are "fine". I would like to propose this to you if you wouldn't mind. I'd like to bring your vehicle back into our facility so I can have the wheels pulled and the brakes disassembled and inspected with measurements in front of me to determine if the claims that the brakes are fine is accurate. This of course would be at no charge to you. You also made mention that someone had told you the brake inspection would be free? If there is something that was set up in the deal or with a sales person that we are unaware of, please accept my sincerest apologies. A brake inspection ( this is a service in which we disassemble the brakes for an accurate measurement, not just a visual inspection ) always carries a charge and if that was not made clear, I apologize for the shortcoming. I would sincerely appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further regarding your recent service experience so we can hopefully rectify the issue or at the very least, learn from this experience to ensure it does not happen again to you or to any other Guelph Hyundai client. As you can see from several hundred reviews, we work diligently to provide a Tier 1 experience and will make every effort to rectify your concerns and try to regain your business, but more importantly your trust in us. Hello Chris I was scheduled for an oil change n break inspection at 11:15am on sat the 8th. My car is a 2013 white Elantra. I'm not too worried about the break inspection. I was caught off faults that I had to pay meanwhile I was told it was free but not a big deal. When I brought in my car before to have a second opinion they serviced my brakes for me which took care of the barely shaking that I had with my vehicle. They told me that my back brakes were completely fine and my front brakes were 50 percent gone. So they told me I didn't have to change them for at least another few months. Meanwhile when I was in the dealership I was told my front brakes where fine but needed to be serviced but my back brakes needed to be changed immediently. I have had no "little shaking " when I brake with my car. I was alarmed when the dealership told me I had to change my back brakes and it was going to cost me over 800 dollars to have them fixed when they didn't need to be fixed at all. I have extremely busy for the next few weeks with setting up my classroom and meeting parents so unfortunately I don't have time in my day to bring you my car to inspect.
