No help not honest My wife and I were due to have our third child in mid February this year and we're in need of a family vehicle. We did not have much time to worry ab My wife and I were due to have our third child in mid February this year and we're in need of a family vehicle. We did not have much time to worry about test driving several vehicles and needed something roadworthy. We found a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan for sale on Davis GMC Buick’s Internet page. I called and got an appointment to take it for a test drive. Showed up the following evening to take the vehicle for a test drive, it was filthy inside and out was told: ”oh I’m so sorry it's new inventory. We will make sure that it is fully detailed once you pick it up if you decide to purchase”. I processed to take it for a drive, heard some rattles and squeaks, it was an eight-year-old minivan didn’t expect too much. After returning to the dealership I sat down with Krysta and got the rundown on the vehicle. I was told that it went for its safety inspection and was in 100% Mechanical shape. Funny how it made it to the shop but not for detail before posting online. After crunching some numbers I decided to go ahead and purchase the vehicle as we were due any time with our third child. The next day I came back to pick up the vehicle and it was washed and detailed found a few rust spots and dents that weren’t able to be seen before. Was shown the AMVIC inspection report and again everything was checked as it was in great condition. Signed the bill of sale handed over cash out of my pocket and drove it off the lot. We ended up having our third child that night so the van sat for a few weeks without being touched. Now about three weeks after the purchase I noticed a slight wine from the front end and brakes squealing in the rear I emailed Krysta about the problems was told: ”what have you done? How did you manage that?”. I then asked if there’s anything that could be done as I received an email about a service ”check up.” I was told that because it’s a Chrysler product that Davis GMC does not have the diagnostic tools and the van will need to be sent to Bridge city to be able to get work done. I did not reply to that email as what can I even say to that? Now another few weeks after that the temperature started to get warmer and my wife tried to use the air conditioning in the van and it does not work. I then emailed Krysta with an entire list of the issues I am having with the van. Such as AC is NOT working, the rear hatch doesn’t close electronically, the rear brakes squeal, the serpentine belt, tensioner as well as pulleys, all make a terrible noise, possible front wheel bearing issues, also the transmission pump has been making a noise. I did want to check the fluid but turns out you need the Chrysler specific tool to do so, but yet on the AMVIC inspection it said it was checked. How can this be if they don't have the diagnostic tooling? I recviced call from the sales manager. He informed me that because I did not purchase their extended warranty there is nothing they can do about any of the issues. I then proceeded to tell him that these issues have been present since buying the vehicle and that they have not just aroused over time. There must’ve been something that was missed on the pre sale inspection. He was admit that his technicians are trustworthy. He then again informed me that there is nothing they can do and their hands are clean and hung up on me. I then started to fill out the claim against them through AMVIC and one of the things they ask for is a car proof report so I spent the $34 and got a report only to find out that this van has been in TWO COLLISIONS adding up to over $5000 that were NOT disclosed to me at time of the sale Written or verbally. This is definitely something that would deter us away from buying this vehicle. This is one of the reasons why I picked to buy a vehicle from a dealer rather than privately. To be able to know that my family especially newborn will be safe in that vehicle because at this point I did not have time to go around and inspect vehicles off a private sale. I was hoping a business would be honest and not try to hide things such as body damage that has been repaired. Before purchasing this van we looked at a used vehicle at college Ford. Before even taking this vehicle for a test drive we we're immediately informed about the collision repairs. We walked away from the sale because of this. We definitely appreciated the honestly, witch Davis has NOT illustrated the same customer service. This past weekend I decided to jack up the front end of the van to decipher whether or not this van is driveable. On further inspection noticed both front wheel bearings have wear to them also the front CV axle joint has exploded and is no longer functioning putting the van out of service. This does not happen in the amount of time we have owned it. I just want people to look out for them self’s and never let their guard down as I did. This is not a honest dealership. More
