I just picked up my new to me 4Runner at Car-On Auto Sales in Ottawa. The deal was done long distance so always a little worried when you don't get to actually see the car you are buying especially when Sales in Ottawa. Transparent gave me a video walk around the car all little issues were pointed out properly and when I got the it was exactly what I was expecting. Their response time proved to be immeasurable. I almost decided to switch cars after everything had been finalized. They walked me through would that process would be like and didn’t try to force or influence me to make any decisions that were not my own. I have read many mixed reviews on this company but decided to see for myself what the experience would be like and I am glad that I did. I truly believe this was the best decision I could have made. The day before my car was to be delivered to me they discovered I owed an immense amount of parking fines. Again they remained kind patient and understanding and gave me the time I needed to resolve and clear these fines. Once this had been taken care of they took no time to hesitate and had my car delivered the next day. I really thought after all my trouble and having them back out of my delivery date they would have taken longer to get it to me. My car arrived safely to me without any issues and it looks better in person than it did online. I have watched other people like my husband purchase cars from other dealerships and I have seen how uncomfortable and stressful it can be, other dealerships make it very clear they just want to make a sale and be onto the next customer. It's next to impossible to communicate with anyone consistently from this dealership and seems that Noone is on the same page. I was dealing with a finance manager to close the deal on Friday, the deal didn't get closed and monday rolled around and he was on days off till Wednesday without relaying anything about my ongoing case. The manager raised his voice with me on the phone and got quite aggressive. I would very highly recommend sourcing out a different dealership at all costs. Stay away from car on auto and do your diligence reading reviews before purchasing from this dealership More

I had a very bad experience with Car On Auto. I bought a Lexus RX350 for over $39,000 CAD and was wrongly charged over $3,000 in taxes. We reached an agreement that I would pay the tax upfront an I bought a Lexus RX350 for over $39,000 CAD and was wrongly charged over $3,000 in taxes. We reached an agreement that I would pay the tax upfront and once I provided the Bill of Lading (BOL) confirming the car was exported, the tax would be refunded. I submitted all the required documents, but Car On Auto has refused to keep their side of the agreement and return my money. This is unfair, unprofessional, and feels dishonest. Buyers should be very careful dealing with this dealership. More

Although the sales experience was very good my car has been a nightmare every since. I purchased a 2018 Honda CR-v with 133 k. I have had numerous warnings lights that started the last day of the dealer w been a nightmare every since. I purchased a 2018 Honda CR-v with 133 k. I have had numerous warnings lights that started the last day of the dealer warranty period. I have had to the dealer a number of times who charge a minimum $225 just for the diagnostic. So far I have changed the battery, turbo charger, water pump, head gasket and have put 153k on it. My tab is around 7k so far. I get the sense this was an auction car which was "rode hard and put away wet". My recommendation is to buy an extended warranty if you purchase a vehicle here. More
