Trade up gone wrong They called me to come in and see about trading up my 2013 to something newer. I agreed to come in but I was very firm on the fact I didn't want to go They called me to come in and see about trading up my 2013 to something newer. I agreed to come in but I was very firm on the fact I didn't want to go a dime above what I was currently paying or more than 4 years. I was told "oh for sure that's totally do-able". WRONG. After test driving a new car we again stressed the payments needing to be in our range and again, we were assured that would be no problem. When we decided to go ahead and buy the new car. They write it all up on paper and have you sign that you would agree to buy the car if the price is right (which I TOTALLY HATE). He then took it to the sales manager and they came back at TRIPLE what we wanted to pay and 8 years! We said no, and he came back again still at 8 years and double what I wanted to pay. Keep in mind we had been here for over 4 hours so we got up and walked out. A complete waste of a Saturday. Dont fall for the trick of them getting you in to waste your Saturday and make you leave pissed off. More

We had little to no pressure from our sales person to purchase. Our questions were answered promptly and if the answer was not known instantly they found out the answer and got back to us promptly. I still feel connected to our dealership and feel as though we are part of a team maintaining my vehicle. I strongly recommend Kia Birchwood west. More

Brutal Service I would normally never do this....but my experience at this dealer was absolutely horrible. When we stated that we had to think about it, he acted as if we had wasted his time. The only good part of the whole ordeal was walking away! The good and and bad Recently I saw what looked to be a fantastic deal on a 2014 Kia Rio 5 that they were clearing out. I was quite excited to see the vehicle and test dri Recently I saw what looked to be a fantastic deal on a 2014 Kia Rio 5 that they were clearing out. I was quite excited to see the vehicle and test drive it. I must say, the staff was quite friendly, and not pushy. However, between the adds that were posted and the communication between staff, I feel as though I was mislead on what I had actually been told and what I signed on for purchase of this vehicle. I drove away in my new Rio 5 feeling like I got a great deal and an economical car! However, when I went over my financing and purchasing agreement the next day, I realized that what I thought was a good deal, was no deal at all! What seemed advertised was a 0% finance over 84 months became a 5.89% interest rate over 84 months. Since the dealership was closed now for the weekend, I felt stressed and horrified that I got suckered! The on-line Kia Chat forwarded my concerns to the Sales Manager and he responded to me by email on a Sunday assuring me that we will look over things that next day. Unfortunately the dealership and myself could not come to an agreement on the price and financing of the vehicle, and I decided that I wanted to take my trade in vehicle back and return the Kia back to the dealership. With the amount of stress that the interest rate and financial paperwork caused me, I decided to walk away from the deal. I'm sure the staff was not happy with my decision to walk away from the deal but they did drive my trade in car back to my home and parked it in my driveway the next day, They were trying to satisfy the customer. And they also dropped off my spare key set in our mailbox the next day when they realized they didn't drop it off when they dropped off my car. Overall, I probably should have reviewed the deal more before signing, but I also think that the sales staff/finance staff should not mislead customers just for a sale! I do think that in the end, after the purchase order was cancelled, the staff could have just told me to leave, but instead still helped me unload my car seat from their vehicle and offered to not only drive my uninsured trade-in vehicle back to my home, they also offered to call a place for me to rent a vehicle if I needed until they could get my car home. In the end...they did the right thing. I would still recommend Kia West to anyone for their friendly staff, but to the consumer...... I went to a few other dealers and they started bashing my trade value before they even looked at it. Another Kia dealer simply asked me the year, Kms, and money left owing - and informed me of how much i would loose and didn't even want to show me the BMW on their lot that I drove half way across the city to look at. At Kia West Rob actually made calls to other dealers and passed on his highest price which was 5 thousand higher than the other dealer I just left. (This wasn't just a show or routine...he was actually working on my behalf so that I would be able to get into the car I was looking at - an 08' BMW). It's very very rare to find someone who is not just trying to come across as genuine, but to find someone who is actually genuine. If you never read another review, this will be all you need. Let me totally assure you that the tandem team of Rob the sales manger, and Sheldon the sales representative, is the best kept secret in this industry. Your experience there will make you wish you have known about them years ago. Most people feel their dealership experience was good if all is straight forward sale process. Mine was not so straight forward. I was buying an 08 used and trading in a 2011 Regal and was upside down on my trade. I've been in sales for 20 years. I recognize, true character is always revealed in adversity and not just when things are smooth. You should look to these guys next time you are buying any new or used vehicle. If they don't have it, they can get it. It'll be worth waiting for. For your benefit and we always like it when we give are hard earned money to the right people. More
