Rude Service Reception I wanted to make an appt. for my car service, I called 5 times, there was nobody answered the phone, finally a lady called Marlisa answered, but with I wanted to make an appt. for my car service, I called 5 times, there was nobody answered the phone, finally a lady called Marlisa answered, but with anger, she blamed me for not leaving a message for her, she would answer my call within 10 minutes, very rude and unprofessional, she said that she is busy in the morning, but a couple of calls I made were in the afternoon! She must be busy ALWAYS. I felt that I was treated like garbage. Good thing is that I know there are other Toyota dealers around, I will avoid ANCASTER TOYOTA for as long as Marlisa works there, period. More
Stay away from these crooks Should have rated them -5. These guys are crooks. They will intentionally damage your car and hold your car unless you pay them. They purposely misali Should have rated them -5. These guys are crooks. They will intentionally damage your car and hold your car unless you pay them. They purposely misaligned the accessory belt while changing the waterpump under warranty. Next day I went back for unnatural noise coming from engine which the worked upon. After diagnosis they told me that belt was worn off. This was all preplanned. And when I countered that why it was not mentioned when they changed the pump. They tried to feed me all sort of BS. As I challenged them, now they wont give my car back unless I pay diagnostic fee, as I did not get it fixed from them. More

The one I ch I visited this dealership with the specific intention of looking at one of their advertised used Rav 4 vehicles. I was shown two of them. The one I chose for a test drive was the one I'd seen. The gas tank was near empty, but I took it out for about 10 minutes. When I returned, the salesperson asked if I'd be interested in test driving a new Scion iM. I decided to try it out. When the salesperson had it ready, she told me it was on empty and that I had exactly 20km to try it. I have to admit that it was a nice ride. The salesperson then proceeded to explain all the incentives on the car. My trade was appraised and I agreed that it was a good deal. I was then introduced to a 'product specialist' who went over all the other add-ons to the deal like life insurance, loss of income insurance, extended warrantee, etc. I was pressed for time and excited about the prospect of a new car that I thought might fit the bill. I left at closing time having left a deposit of $100. On the Monday morning at opening time, I called the dealership to let them know that I'd changed my mind for various reasons. The reponse on the phone was icy cold. I was informed that the General Manager would be in touch. The call was terminated abruptly. I was then hounded by calls while at work from the Sales Manager. I called back and left a message. The following day, I was again called multiple times. I didn't connect with anyone, but went there after work. The sales manager who'd called me finally was available to talk. In an angry voice, he started the conversation by saying "we are not in the habit of cancelling orders", turning the contract for sale to face me and with a stabbing finger, pointed to the bottom where I'd signed. He was red in the face. I explained my reasons for cancelling and in response he said "this is a binding contract" and car sales are excluded from normal retail sales, where the consumer can change his or her mind. He then said many could "force delivery". It took quite some time to get him to agree to cancelling the order, during which he presented me purchase options for finance for the original car I was interested in - something that the salesperson didn't do because they were trying to push a sale of an entirely different vehicle. As an serious aside, their contract that they'd drawn up for me had a different and far more expensive car listed. I wonder what would have happened if I'd said that I wanted to force that sale? In short, the experience was repugnant and I will never return there. A horrible experience. More

Excellence at Ancaster Toyota Over the past two or three years I have had numerous visits to Ancaster Toyota both for service and for the purchase of a new vehicle and I must say Over the past two or three years I have had numerous visits to Ancaster Toyota both for service and for the purchase of a new vehicle and I must say that I have never experienced a more professionally run automotive business. From the moment that you enter the service department or when you step into the sales area, the customer is always treated with the utmost respect and one is given complete attention by whichever employee with whom you are dealing. Ancaster Toyota will always be my first choice both for automotive sales and service and I commend Frank van der Veen on his management skills in running this first class operation. More
We have a 2010 Sequoia which we purchased at Ancaster Toyota. It was a Demo which we came to a purchase agreement on and upon return to pick it up it had chips in the windshield which were not there pre Toyota. It was a Demo which we came to a purchase agreement on and upon return to pick it up it had chips in the windshield which were not there previously. They would only agree to attempt to repair the damage. We should have declined to purchase at that point. Service department failures since- Oil Drain plug left loose after an oil change - fasteners missing to secure the chassis skid guard in place after the oil change - technicians(or kids) did not use the proper tools for tightening the filter housing during the oil and filter change - last service for w/washer pump replacement we noticed paint chips and a scratch on the hood from something hitting it (not consistent with road debris damage). Looks like an air tool hose fitting has hit it and dragged across it. More
I was supposed to buy 2010 a used Matrix and they offered to put in A/C as the vehicle didn't come with it, which I happily agreed to. I set up my insurance and everything, assuming the installation is a sta to put in A/C as the vehicle didn't come with it, which I happily agreed to. I set up my insurance and everything, assuming the installation is a standard procedure, and they scheduled my pick-up day so I arranged to be in town for that day as I live in Toronto. The woman assisting me would intermittently email me and say they were having trouble finding an A/C unit. After calling and following-up a bunch of times I was told that they couldn't install it. Obviously I didn't want the car in that case so I had to go all the way back to Ancaster to get my money back (as I had already put down a cash deposit). The fact that they didn't even have the courtesy to call me to let me know the A/C couldn't be installed, and the fact that they took over 45 minutes to cut me a cheque to return my deposit, pretty well confirms that I'll never return to this dealership, nor will I recommend it to friends or family. And after talking to various people I hear that installing a Toyota A/C unit is very doable, so I feel like they were scheming to just draw me in, hoping I would just buy new so they could get their commission. I have heard bad things about this dealership in the past, and my experience definitely aligns to these poor ratings! More

Car burning oil from inception, afther hearing a different excuse from 4 different dealers regarding the loss of oil Ancaster Toyota starts a 1000 km oil check for the 8000km oil change 6 months requierment. excuse from 4 different dealers regarding the loss of oil Ancaster Toyota starts a 1000 km oil check for the 8000km oil change 6 months requierment.Afther 5000km and 6 months duration (i never drive enough kilometers and my 6 months expire before reaching 8000km) the note my car is using 1.7 liters of oil!!!! however they do not mention in the paper work that the mileage is not 8000km !!! creating the impression my car burns 1.7 liters of oil every 8000km !!!I am told to wait for a phone call, they will be contacting Toyota Canada on my behalf ,a year later, email sent and phone messages left at the dealer,I am told afther (via email) a year of waiting by by Ms.Potter Service Mananger that all papaers have been sent to Toyota Canada !By now I am only couple months away from the warranty expiering and nothing has been done but lip service.Heard excuses like"way do you wary, you have extended warranty",the extended warranty I have paid for myself and is not a gift from Toyota my repply went,"o you know they are busy with the Lexus issue" my answer,I am not driving a Lexus.I can not believe the level of ignorance and very poor quality service from Toyota and their dealerships, now I am redoing the oil check at another toyota dealer and they seem to be the twins of the Ancastwer Toyota type. Also a rattling noise started no from the catalitic converter area the car sounds like a coffe grinder while accelerating from 0 to 60 km in hour the answer from the Upper James Toyota dealer, use premium gasoline instead,we do not heaer the noise, the noise is normal, etc etc, well if the noise is normal why are they asking me to use premium gasoline ??? it is amazing how you can go to 4 different delars with the same issues and here 4 different explanations all togheter.I have neve eever in my life and I am 50 years old and driving for 32 years neww and old cars a company with a bigger ego and attitude than Toyota !!!! I have come across on the web on a very similar issue of oil consumption and Toyota cahnged his engine block (USA driver) I have made a point since 3 years now to ask all Toyota camry owners that I meet regareding oul consumption, guess what ,not one driver has mentioned oil consumption of any kind !!!Wake up Toyota Canada and Ancaster Toyota and other delars alike and aknowledge when you manufacture a LEMON and try to fix the problems instead of looking the other way ! I will never buy a Toyota again !!!! Buyers beware. More
