I purchased a used 2009 Subaru Forester from Haldimand Motors about 2 years ago, with a 3 year unlimited km extended powertrain warranty. The sales process was a great experience as there are no sales people around to pressure you while you have a look at different cars at their lot. You can test drive the cars without a sales person sitting next to you. The car had a few issues like dents, worn out tires etc. which the sales person took notes of to be taken care of. They didn't ask for a deposit. The car was ready on the day they told it would. All issues were taken care of and the tires replaced. The car looked brand new. Couple of months ago, the engine started leaking oil (common boxer motor issue). The extended warranty (Coast to Coast) I puchesed with the car covered 85% of the repair cost of almost 2 gran, except for fluids and new gaskets that were not covered. Overall, it's been a great experience for me and I recommend Haldimand Motors to anyone looking for a used car.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. Worst experience. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone I know. Started with an appointment with Sales, arrived at time but I had to wait for more than 30 minutes to meet the sales lady. Since it’s my first car and I am new to Canada, my loan application was rejected (which is something I understand) so they asked for a co-signer, and even though it is not easy to find a co-signer when you’re a newcomer, I managed to find one. However, when I sent my co-signer documents to the sales lady, she just kept on telling me that since your application was refused previously she can’t start the application again without the approval of (Michael). I don’t who is this Michael, but this doesn’t make any sense from a customer point of view. What’s more, the lack of customer service experience these people have is something I have never seem before. Customer’s satisfaction is not something they are investing in. I wanted an Outlander so badly, and will try to find it in any other Mitsubishi dealership, but if they are the only dealership having stock now, I would rather change to any other vehicle than trying to deal with them again.

Anybody I know that has dealt with this business, including myself, can tell you a story of how fairly they have been treated. They offer comprehensive warranties, open with their pricing, and sell problem free vehicles. Melvin Klippenstein is very good at helping you find a great vehicle that will service your needs for years to come.

Service dept. - Stan

Service dept. over charges for basic work. They quoted me $475 for Rotor Resurfacing, and $520 for Brake Service (clean and lube calipers). $995 + tax and shop supplies.. over $1k for brake servicing??! I called Volvo Waterloo, and they quoted me $420 for the exact same service!!!! Glad I decided to pass on their 'Recommended' service.

Everything about this place smells of fraud. All their cars are auction cars that break down off the lot. Their mechanic just writes fakes and the minute its off the lots its your problem. They harass you with xxxxx and threaten you if you have any complaint. Please stay away!!!!

This is the worst experience I've had with a dealer in 35 years of owning cars. I took my 2022 Jetta in for simple repairs to a rubber door seal that had become unattached. Thy informed me that the repair would not be covered by the VW warranty because I had taken the car for rust proofing undercoating by a 3rd party. I then had the car examined by the leading national firm that had applied the undercoating, who said that the undercoating had been perfectly applied and there was no evidence of oil on the door that might have loosened the rubber seal. When I then went back to the Myers Service Manager, he suggested that they might consider making the repair for a reduced price. We set up a time to talk about it by phone but he was unavailable when I called and ignored my repeated emails to call me back. I'm sure VW owners would be surprised to know that simply caring enough to have their cars undercoated for the Canadian winter can result in VW voiding their warranties. The Jetta is a great car but, unfortunately, the service offered by VW and its dealers is abysmal.

Terrible Sevice Department - szandi

Hi, I had my 2017 BMW X5 towed to otto's due to a flat tire. The car has sat there outside for two days. The service department tells me they would call back yet they never do. After being on hold and transfer 3 times finally someone told me that they still don't know and they will call me back. The next day I was told that it would be in to take a look at in the morning. Once again I called back at 12 and they told me the representatives are very busy and they will call me back. Few hours later the place is closed and no call back. The tow truck driver told me that he could have a shop fix my nail in my tire for 24$ in 40 min. Since the car was new I decided to send it to Otto's not only are they going to charge me 60$ (this is outrageous when every other shop flat tire rate is between 20-30$) but now they think because the car has sat in that position for so long that the tire might not be repairable. This is my 4th BMW and my first one was purchased at OTTO's and I had a terrible service experience and left to buy my other 2 from ELite. I gave Otto's another chance since it has been 10 years and the sales rep was really good. Unfortunately I still see that they have not gotten their act together.

I purchased the 2005 Lexus LS 430 on April 18 2017 from this dealer. I had taken it out for test drive 3 or 4 times before deciding to purchase I also noticed that the tires were original with OK tread but because of age were dry rotted. I decided to purchase the car because even though it was 13 years old it was like new .As for the tires Wes Thrasher let me buy the tires of my choice and they would pay for them. No problem here. Serious buyers negotiate with dealers they don't go online and write negative reviews after car is already sold. FAKE NEWS!!!!1

I have been searching for an S Class for the last two months. I finally found one Black on black with the options I wanted and most importantly the low kms I was looking for. I immediately contacted Paul Eros to see if the vehicle was available. I found Paul eager to meet with me to view the vehicle, When I met with Paul I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism not to mention the fact that the vehicle was presented in pristine condition. Buyer Beware, 1000 Islands RV Centre has the worst after sale customer service. Once they cash your cheque it is impossible to get a return call from any employee, including Service Advisors, Service Manager, Sales Manager and General Manager. If you are thinking of buying from 1000 Islands RV Centre, be aware that you will not get any after sale support. After buying a brand-new RV for $80K from 1000 Islands RV Centre I spent 6 weeks calling and leaving messages hoping to get a return call to help schedule a service appointment to fix a few issues and some warranty work on the new RV. Every single message left including requests with reception to please have somebody help and return a call was ignored. I cannot include all details of their ignoring phone calls and requests for help as it would be too long and unbelievable to read. This includes Sales Manager and General Manager both refusing to get involved and help a customer. Also, we had to get the Manufacturer involved to force 1000 Islands RV Centre to provide parts that were included in the purchase. 1000 Islands RV Centre will take your money and then never return a call, deliver on promises, or provide any help and support.

ZERO STARS! Advertised as being in “Super Shape!” After repeatedly assuring me over the phone that the vehicle was in "really good" to "great" condition, I had a "fair at best" vehicle delivered to me out of province. I could not take the time to return the vehicle, or I would have and should have. It was supposed to have been delivered safety-certified. It barely passed the MVI, and only after over $1800 worth of work. I had to strong-arm him to follow through on that to cover only $1000 of those costs - not to mention being overcharged for the delivery without any documentation. After a mild winter, and being kept in underground parking, the vehicle is now deemed a fire hazard and no longer drivable without extensive and costly repairs. Please get any and all assurances in writing, and do not believe a word Bart Hartwick says about the vehicle's condition. I am very familiar with this make and model and had researched buying used vehicles, asked all the recommended questions, and had been assured that the vehicle was in really good condition and that there was no rust except for two little spots by the rear license plate, only to be sold a vehicle that was heavily corroded underneath. Wasted even more money having them undercoat it to preserve its supposed great condition before delivery. Bart Hartwick, a Used Car Dealers Association of Ontario (UCDA*dot*org) board member, uses his board status to underscore his credibility when selling vehicles. He's amiable on the phone. It's a ruse to disarm you. This is shameful conduct! Do not ignore the red flags. You will be sorry.

I feel I got a great vehicle and great support from this seller, which specializes in green vehicles. I live in Toronto; they're based near Ottawa. After seeing their listing on Autotrader.ca in July 2014, I ordered a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid over the phone and email with a credit card deposit. They delivered it to my Toronto home, had me sign the paperwork and drove off in my trade - so easy! They also offered a 90-day warranty on all safety items. After a couple of months, I did discover some minor problems. I claimed against the warranty, sent them the receipts and received a cheque covering my costs. All in all, I thought this was a very reputable way to do business, especially given that it was all done remotely. I have no hesitation recommending Eco Ridez.

I was aware this dealership didn't have a great reputation in the past, but I have found it absolutely excellent (I think it has had new ownership since before I dealt with them). Fernando Transmundi has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I've also found their service to be honest and reliable. I had purchased some additional insurance coverage for my leased vehicle, and they took care of a very nasty door ding under that coverage--which was greatly appreciated, bc I didn't even realize it would be covered, and just asked them to price the repair out of curiosity before I took it elsewhere! I'd definitely purchase from them again, as they've been a pleasure.

I have purchased 2013 GMC Terrain from Humberview Wholesale in July 2016. 2 days after purchase the cooler line leaked. Replaced and paid $416.00. Another day later, leak again, another mechanic said radiator needs to be replaced. Paid $800. When front bumper cover was removed it became painfully obvious that this particular vehicle went into a front-end collision, dealer had never mentioned about collision. They put cheap rotors to pass inspection. Rotors have burned out and warped and it give shakes to steering wheel. Replaced front rotors, paid $500. Total extra spent: $1700, plus set of all season tires because car came with winter tires. Bottom line, always check with your own mechanic before putting money on the table. Dealer will never tell you the truth. Photos of the front girl and hood of the car that has never had any accidents in the front.

We put a deposit down on a preowned "as is" van with the condition to have the preowned manager bring it to our mechanic's to have it checked. When the prearranged day came and I called to confirm the time, he said "let me make sure we still have it"- my heart sank. I got a call back an hour and a half later from a sales manager, who said the van wouldn't move. We had already test drove it and I knew it was fine, so I said we wanted to come out to see it. He then said he has to check with his technician. Again an hour and a half later I get a call, saying that it'll start but it has a "stalling problem" and that they were going to wholesale it. I told him that we still wanted to come out, but he said that as we spoke the other preowned manager was putting it up for auction. It didn't matter that we already put a deposit down, we didn't have a choice in the matter. I asked to speak to Aman the general manager and he told me he was "walking out to do accounting and wouldn't be back for a couple of hours". When the sales manager called me back later in the day to arrange for the refund of the deposit, I asked to speak to Aman again prior to having my deposit refunded. Again Aman wasn't available and I never did receive a call back from him. The dealership never offered to find an alternate van, there was no remorse on their part. The sales manager said he tried to contact us prior, which he did once on our cell; however didn't leave any message. I believe they sold the van, even though there was already a deposit on it and they tried to discourage us from even wanting it anymore by saying "it had a problem." I say this because the sales manager basically told me that " there was people who would buy it without a having a mechanic look at it prior to buying it." I was very disappointed with our experience at this Infiniti dealership, this is something you'd expect at a used car lot, there was no professionalism there and their way of doing business was very shady.
