Feb 24, 2025 I had the first oil change on my brand new corolla cross done at Belair Toyota. The technician did not put the drain plug on the oil pan correctly. Almost all the oil leaked all over my garage floor. I discovered the problem March 10 and I had to have my car towed to Belair March 11. Initially I spoke with Josianne Parent the General Manager she reassured me my car would be ok and was helpful. I was terrifed the motor of my new car would be damaged. She also told me I wasn't the only one who had this happen and someone was let go because of this issue. I was off on holidays when the problem occurred. I had booked appointments for March 11 which I had to cancel because I had to have my car towed and had no idea how long it would take to get my car back on the road. They redid the oil change and said someone would come and clean my garage floor. They tried twice to clean my garage floor (March 12, and March 28) it didn't work. March 28th I was told by James Hodgson the service manager they would come back and clean my garage floor with a torch if the 2nd cleaning didn't work. . I was initially offered car detailing as compensation. I live out of town and I would have to leave the car there all day so I declined the detailing. I asked for the next service 1 and a free oil change instead and to have my floor cleaned. However after the 2nd failed attempt at cleaning the floor and the continued time I was loosing because of the dealerships negligence and my lack of confidence in them, I decided I no longet wanted a free oil change. I asked for a refund for the oil change, ASAP, the service 1, and for my garage floor to be cleaned with the torch. After emailing several times April 21st I was offered the credit for my oil change, the service one and my floor cleaned. Fanastic a resolution. I confirmed this would be acceptable on April 21st. It is now May 11th I still have not received my refund nor have they cleaned my garage floor. I reached out again to James Hodgson and Josianne Parent April 25th and May 5th. Both emails were ignored. In the beginning I gave Belair Toyota the benefit of the doubt to fix their mess. Mistakes are made everywhere. However now I am appalled at my treatment. I guess they thought I would just give up. I will not give up, and as a result of them ignoring me I decided to write this review. I have lost complete faith in this dealership and I would not recommend their services to anyone.
The time and stress this dealership has caused me, seems to mean nothing to them. Their compensatiion offered was nothing from a giant company. I thought Toyota was a reputable company I certainly think differently now. When I purchased this car last June 2 other family memebers also purchased new vehicles from Bank Street Toyota who were amazing. Myfamily and friends are disgusted at how I have been treated. None of us nor our friends will ever go to Belair Toyota.
