I ran into a bit of an urgent situation with my 14-day new Kia Seltos (purchased at a different dealer) on a Friday evening. I had driven through a construction zone and picked up a nail in my tire. I was too far away from home to safely use the spare tire, but as I had purchased the 1-year Kia tire warranty on the vehicle, I brought it into Donnelly - the closest dealership to me at the time.
The service team confirmed the issue with my tire, but when I asked about honouring the tire warranty, I was told there was no such thing. I then went to the sales team to verify and they too told me there was no such thing.
After an hour, while the service team conferred, I was told they were going to replace my tire with the spare in the trunk and send me on my way. As I live 45 minutes away from Donnelly, I asked that they please not do that, because travelling home on the spare exceeded the safe distance/speed parameters of the spare. I was told that the spare was the only option and it was too late in the day for any other action.
When I returned home I placed a call to the dealership where I leased my vehicle, to ask more questions about the tire warranty. They not only confirmed the warranty was real and should have been honoured by Donnelley, but drove out to my home to collect the flat tire, replaced the tire, and returned it to my front door within 48 hours.
After 15 years of buying (3)/leasing (1) vehicles from Donnelly, I could not be happier with the service I'm receiving from other Kia dealerships.
