I visited Donnelly Ford this morning, hoping to resolve a Ford recall notice I received. I've been a loyal customer for years, having purchased both a 2005 Mustang GT Convertible and a 2021 Escape from them, and I’ve always had positive experiences in the past. However, my recent visit was quite disappointing. I had previously taken my car into them for recalls in March. They managed to address some issues and mentioned that others were still pending. At that time, they provided me with a rental car for the day, which was much appreciated, especially given my reliance on my vehicle for work as a real estate agent. This morning’s visit was to address one of the pending recalls. Unfortunately, from the moment I interacted with the service representative, I felt disrespected and talked down to. This was surprising and upsetting, mainly because I had never experienced such treatment from them before. I also mentioned a vibration in the front end of my vehicle—an issue that had been fixed early in my ownership. I was told that new fluid had been added to the differential, but the service representative informed me that only a part had been replaced. Later, he suggested that perhaps the fluid needed changing due to the new part. When I inquired about coverage under my expensive extended warranty, I was told I might or might not be covered. If covered, the cost would be fully covered; if not, I would be responsible for the inspection and repair costs. The way this information was conveyed made me feel like I was just another annoying customer rather than a valued client. This visit has, unfortunately, changed my perception of Donnelly Ford. I’ve always recommended them and spoke highly of their dealership, but being treated with such disregard is disheartening. I hope they will address these issues and ensure all customers receive the respect and professionalism they deserve.

Worst after sale service….Early in 2023, I called Dow Honda to book a “same day oil change” service which is listed on their website. The person I spoke to said this service had not been available for a few years. I suggested that it be removed from the website, but 6 months later and it is still listed. False advertising! Today I had an appointment to fix 3! recalls. Indicated when I booked the appointment online that I would be waiting for the car. The service agent calls me this morning saying that I could not wait for the car and they would be keeping it for at least 8 hours. I asked if I could get a shuttle home or a loaner but she said they didnt go to my neighborhood (25 minute drive). Still looking for a solution, I asked if we could just do 1 or 2 recalls at my appointment today (each one is supposed to take less than an hour according to the letter from Honda Canada), and then I would book another appointment. Agent says for even 1 recall the car has to sit there all day. She said that has been their policy for all recalls, even though I said I had waited for another recall repair last year. Agent was extremely rude and unhelpful.

I usually have great service but today I did not. I had my tires changed from winter to summer and was told it would take one and a half hours. After 2 hours I went to see what was happening. I found my car, new tires installed and sitting in the parking lot.....the service person I was dealing with was nowhere to be found. As it was now 12 pm I presume he went to lunch and left me waiting. I could have been there for days!!!

My service advisor is Gurneet. He is absolutely wonderful. He could not be any better. Even the other service advisors nearby are all friendly and helpful even when your appointment is with another advisor Lamar has been the sole person working out the few interior rattles in my 3 RAV4s and infotainment issues. I have never experienced a technician with this extreme level of dedication , knowledge and customer service. He will get to the root of your rattles and fix them. I’ve had 9 Toyotas since 1986 and a couple other makes before that and he is the most dedicated and customer friendly tech I’ve ever met. Gurneet and Lamar are a wonderful pair. They both deserve 5 stars, but my raking of 4 stars is for the overall dealership experience thus far

I brought my vehicle to the shop to have the check engine light checked and it was in working condition when I brought it in. Within 48 hours, the technician had given me two completely different diagnosis. First diagnosis involved minor issues and it should be ready to be picked up soon. Within 48 hours, all the sudden the engine needs to be replaced. So, what went wrong within 48 hours? When I was trying to drive it out of the parking lot, it wouldn't go pass 40km and the engine sounded rough. Not only did they didn't address my concerns, but they returned it in worse conditions. On top of that, they blamed me for bringing it in, in that condition to begin with. All I have to say is, this location is doing shady business and is very money driven. Very poor customer service and it's not one of their top priorities at all! Not to mention, they were not concerned whether the vehicle was safe to be driven home and was being very dismissive. What they did felt criminal and unethical. Overall, nothing was fixed and I was slapped a bill on top.

My first time (after owning 4 Ram trucks) to Doyles collision centre was an experience I needed to comment on. Scott and Kevin were amazing with the time they took and the patience they had well working on my damaged 2021 Ram . Delayed parts out of their control, was frustrating but the time each of them took to calm my concerns and the way they went out of their way to explain and show me calmed my nerves and made me realize I’d picked the right dealership .Despite how busy they were and my constant questions and visits to check on progress they were professional, courteous and respectful .The finished job left me pleased and satisfied completely . Highly recommend this dealership .

If I could give this dealership 0 stars I would. I use to go here for a simple seasonal tire change because my car is a new Mazda. They have damaged my vehicle twice while changing the tires which doesn’t seem that difficult to do. First time they bent the disc and I drove it 7 hours back home which could have been dangerous. The second time they bent the body above the tire. The owner refuses to take responsibility for the damages even though he wrote me saying “ if they did damage the car they would have told you” .... funny that they DID NOT each time. I also watched the mechanic try to open my door while on the hoist, in which the door hit the hoist. I do not recommend this dealership since it isn’t profession, they don’t treat you very nicely especially if your a women. Thank god this isn’t my primary dealership because my main one treats you like VIP.

Sadly the Ford Super Duty did not meet our needs, but if we could have, we would have bought it here. Their service desk is the best!

For the past four years, I've been grappling with an incessant car starting issue, which has left me stranded in the dead of winter on numerous occasions, sometimes for days in a row. It's not just the inconvenience but also the sheer frustration of dealing with this ongoing problem. I've been stranded over an hour and 15 minutes away from home, with roadside assistance offering no more than a mere 5km tow. Throughout this ordeal, I've visited Kia dealerships multiple times, seeking answers and a resolution. My encounters with Kia dealerships had previously left me disheartened. I received explanations ranging from a problematic battery, to a faulty starter (twice, with less than two years between replacements), and even the baffling claim that my car's winter mat was obstructing the clutch. This lack of consistency and the absence of a long-term solution had eroded my trust in my car and in Kia as a dealership and car manufacturer. It felt as though there was no genuine commitment to fixing this persistent issue. Fast forward to September 2023, after relocating to Durham, I found myself facing the same frustrating non-starting problem once again. At my wits' end, I contacted Kia's head office to share my long-standing dilemma. The initial customer service representative was compassionate, expressing a genuine concern and agreement that a resolution was warranted. However, when I was transferred to a second-tier customer service representative, things took a disappointing turn. This individual appeared inconvenienced by my call and shockingly asked, "What do you want us to do about it?" It seemed absurd to expect a company to stand by its product and rectify a recurring issue. This unhelpful representative directed me to Durham Kia, a move I approached with hesitation, given my prior experiences and the lack of interest in identifying and resolving the root cause of the problem. My reservations quickly evaporated when I had the privilege of speaking with Matt at Durham Kia. I shared my entire bewildering story with him, half-joking that I was ready to return the car since an unreliable vehicle serves no purpose. Matt, unlike anyone I'd encountered before, truly listened to my ordeal. He lightened the mood with just the right amount of humor and shared a genuine desire to uncover the real problem. In our conversation, Matt candidly acknowledged that requiring a new starter three times in the short life of a nearly five-year-old car was highly unusual. A day later, Matt called with an update. The technician had recorded the unusual sounds the car made during its failed start attempts and subsequently undertook a comprehensive investigation. They removed the starter and ran thorough tests, ultimately identifying the root issue. When Matt conveyed this revelation, I couldn't help but promise the "biggest, bestest review," and I sincerely hope this fulfills that promise. Matt and the unnamed technician(s) at Durham Kia accomplished something remarkable. They achieved in a single visit what had eluded countless previous trips to various Kia dealerships over the course of five long years.
