I’ll never understand why dealerships can’t just be honest with people. Happy customers are important. For those looking to purchase a car here, I have some advice. Don’t buy a used car in the winte honest with people. Happy customers are important. For those looking to purchase a car here, I have some advice. Don’t buy a used car in the winter, or at least if there’s ANY snow on it. We told the salesperson that our old car had serious rust issues, and that that was a big concern for us. The car we were interested in purchasing had snow on it, so I used my gloves to wipe it off all around to look for rust. The salesperson was with us when I was doing this. We didn’t see any rust, so we agreed to purchase the car. When we went to pick up the car a few days later there was no longer any snow, and the first thing we saw was a huge rusty scrape on the passenger side’s rocker panel. It would have been nice to have been told about this, knowing that we were specifically looking for rust. I have no idea how we missed it, but it was difficult trying to get all the snow off with my gloves. Later on we realized that there were no pictures of that side of the car on their website. They knew about the scrape and didn’t tell us. We took the car to an auto body shop and were told that the rust will spread, and that it will cost hundreds of dollars to repair it. Please check the dates on the tires. The car we bought was a 2012 and we found out that the tires on it are the originals, and will be 11 years old in a couple of months. They are dangerous and have to be replaced immediately. I’m not sure why they weren’t replaced at the dealership during the safety inspection (done at Strickland’s). That’s approximately another $1000 we’ll have to spend. Know that you only get one key. We were only told this AFTER the paperwork for the car was signed. The salesperson told us this policy is on their website. We had looked at dozens of dealership websites and could not possibly have remembered the policies from all of them. We should have been told we’d only get one key before we signed anything. We had to pay almost $200 to get another key from a GM dealership. Money is tight for everyone and we weren’t anticipating having to spend well over $1500 extra after driving our newly-purchased car off the lot. More

First time car buyer. Saw great reviews for stricklands and decided to give them my business. After purchasing the vehicle and bringing it home I noticed a massive scratch Saw great reviews for stricklands and decided to give them my business. After purchasing the vehicle and bringing it home I noticed a massive scratch on the front bumper. Contacted the dealerships and they told me they knew about it but would do nothing. This wasn't on carfax or disclosed to me at any point during the buying process. Double check your car before you sign or bring anything home. Don't trust them to honour their "full disclosure" policy. I even purchased a 30 day warranty that if anything happened to car it would be fixed no questions asked and repair is still no go. My fault for trusting this place to be honest with me. More
