I own a RAM 1500 EcoDiesel since 2017 and have been getting it serviced at Stouffville Chrysler ever since. At the beginning the service advisors and technicians were all very good. Of late however eve getting it serviced at Stouffville Chrysler ever since. At the beginning the service advisors and technicians were all very good. Of late however every single advisor and mechanic I knew have all left this dealership. It is now my opinion their service is not what it use to be. E.g. of poor service: My air suspension was leaking and without checking the system they advised I replace the compressor and control valves, further if that didn't fix the problem then change the air bags. They did not want to look for the leak but rather have me change components until we hit the 'jack pot'. This I thought was unacceptable since these components are very expensive and could run me almost $10k. I looked around and found a local mechanic familiar with heavy duty trucks using air suspension and air brakes and he was able to find two leaks, one air bag and a fitting at the air tank. I had him replace the bag and fitting. The air suspension has worked very well again since then however I find the truck sits a little higher in the rear than before and with a measuring tape the right side sits slightly higher than the left. Which brings me to another unacceptable service experience from Stouffville Chrysler. I took the vehicle in for a recall (fuel pump replacement) and while it was 'IN' I requested an air suspension calibration specifically telling the advisor the rear ride height was a little too high, that I wanted it put back to its original oem ride height and the right side slightly higher than the left. When I picked up my vehicle the ride height was exactly the same as I had given it to them even though the work order says the technician had performed the calibration and it had "passed at this time." I tried discussing with the service advisor that they had not done what I requested but had only measured and confirmed the ride height was within acceptable specs. I told her I knew this already and I was paying to have it adjusted to what I wanted... original oem height. I also questioned how it could be acceptable when one side is higher than the other. She then spoke with the service manager and technician and concluded something must be wrong with the entire air suspension system and they would need to perform an error code scan. This sounds like total xx. They again don't know what to do and would like the customer to throw money at them until hopefully the problem is solved. I don't know that the technician is at fault because maybe it wasn't explained to him what I requested. I do know if you decide to take your vehicle there for service you should be weary of the service advisors ignorance and the service manager's lack of customer service to 'make it right'. Let me also add that the fuel pump recall was scheduled for 4 to 6 hours and I needed to leave the vehicle with them for an entire day. I was then told this recall does not qualify for a loaner vehicle. I had to take the day off since my job requires the use of my truck or at least a vehicle which can carry some hand tools. The fact that their service repair needed an entire day and they are not prepared to give the customer a loaner is also another example of poor customer service. While I understand some customer don't need a vehicle for work and can be dropped off and picked-up, Chrysler Stouffville also should understand some of their customer do need a vehicle for work and should be able to schedule one when needed. A very solid service experience. That being said, the manager addressed the situation promptly, replacing my radio completely with upgraded model, and arranged for a special shuttle arrangement when I had difficulty driving back to dealer for the repair. I’ve also had a few service events over the past year on my aging Caravan, and each time. the front desk staff, (Jenny in particular for me) have been courteous, friendly and prompt with their communications. While I enjoyed my eco diesel for 4. 5 years, the last couple months have been unforgiving. FCA involved, service group seems professional until FCA tells me that I agreed to 3rd party parts (never discussed) and my squeaky door which they serviced, now I’m told I need to buy new hinges—just over 100k km, and now corrosion on some body panels. Please get my F150 back. More
