Bought a used car online because I couldn't get to the city to see it.... ran into a storm on the way home and found the wipers were ripped and one headlight was burned out...I contacted the salesman who city to see it.... ran into a storm on the way home and found the wipers were ripped and one headlight was burned out...I contacted the salesman who talked with the boss and I was told it was my problem not on them... the car had a new inspection sticker on the day I picked it up ....I used every penny I had to purchase this vehicle...as I'm 64 years old and on disability....beware of this dealership .....day 2 I just found out that the whole headlight assembly needs to be replaced as it wasn't the light bulb that was burned out.......I will never buy a vehicle online or this dealership... even if my life depended on it... BEWARE More

We could have crashed. I was shaking. The dealership later blamed the previous owner for installing the wrong size wipers — which means this should have been caught during their inspection before selling the car. Within the 30-day period, I also reported: Rust Paint chips and damage on the door The door coming apart A strange noise from the dash/heater area They minimized everything, said they “couldn’t hear it,” and are now blaming me instead of fixing what they sold. They refused to fix the windshield, said the second key they sold me isn’t their responsibility, and then ignored me when I contacted the used car sales manager and general manager by phone and email. I’m a single mom on a fixed income. I trusted them to sell me a safe, properly inspected vehicle. Instead, my kids and I were put in danger within an hour of purchase and I am still shaken and stressed by this whole ordeal. More

I have a 2024 Sierra with 16000 kms on it. The radio is working intermittently. I called for an appointment and they told me it would be a month before I could get in. I was given a price for a truck , so I gave a deposit waited 3 months for the truck to arrive , THEN was told they made a mistake on the price NOT MY ISSUE you gave the wrong price , JACKED up $8500 waited 3 months for the truck to arrive , THEN was told they made a mistake on the price NOT MY ISSUE you gave the wrong price , JACKED up $8500 , was told take it or leave it , so I got my deposit back ,there were no concessions offered only we want more money , I am still going to get a new truck just NOT here , sales manage was trying to talk fast with all these numbers , to try and confuse me , he know that was not going to work so he said good buy and hung up all this was NON professional !!! I bought a new GMC Savanna and they sold me on the Rust Protection Plan-over $1500 for it-pushed us to get it. Had my own mechanic put on new winter tires and had my inverter installed so it was up on the Protection Plan-over $1500 for it-pushed us to get it. Had my own mechanic put on new winter tires and had my inverter installed so it was up on the hoist 3 weeks after I brought the van home to the Annapolis Valley and we noticed that the undercoating was only HALF DONE! They didn't do the front end. I had to make an appt. to take it back and my appt. was for 8am but when I got there it was disorganized and the guy was annoyed that I was there and didn't really want to deal with me as he had 'NEW CARS TO GET DONE'. I will never buy another vehicle from Dartmouth Steele. All they seem to care about there is to get the undercoatings done and get the vehicles out the door-to heck with someone who just bought one. We bought a Terrain in 2013 for my wife in the Annapolis Valley Chevrolet store which was NOT OWNED BY STEELE AT THE TIME and Mandy Parker was our dealer and we had ZERO ISSUES THERE WITH HER. she was actually amazing and called us on the year anniversary and chatted for awhile...amazing lady. We had heard Mandy had transferred to work at the Steele in Dartmouth years ago but when I asked for her when getting this van she had been moved to their head office. The finance woman Sheri Votour at Steel Dartmouth was pushy and had a dog in her office when signing our paperwork and had more problems with her. Will never go back there to buy another vehicle. Bought a used SUV from them. Worst decision I have made in a while. Lied about it being inspected, as is provable by the fact that when it was traded in they noted the cracked ex Worst decision I have made in a while. Lied about it being inspected, as is provable by the fact that when it was traded in they noted the cracked exhaust, engine light and issue with shifter. Now they think I should pay for it. Sadly for them they accidentally gave me the paperwork that proves they lied while stumbling around trying to find me the inspection certificate that they failed to provide. Two of the 4 they eventually gave me have my vehicle info but don't match the date on my sticker. Three other shops have given me written proof that this vehicle would not have passed an inspection. I also got sold a couple of warranties that as it turns out the vehicle doesn't qualify for. So I am out a bunch for those as well. I spent a pile of money on a vehicle that wasn't even close to roadworthy. Since I am the idiot that bought it I will pay to fix it, but it won't be done at their shop and everyone I speak to will know. This dealership as a whole proves why car salesmen have such a bad reputation. I would give them zero stars if I could. More

In less than three days of purchase the transmission went on the vehicle. We were told that after we left the Halifax, Dartmouth area there was no kind of warranty on the vehicle. We had advised them that our son needed the vehicle to get to a job in Alberta and they knew we didn’t live in the Halifax Dartmouth area. The transmission was replaced by a Chev dealer in Ontario and the Service Rep there spoke to the Service Rep at Steele but to no avail. New transmission cost $8300. This is a truly heartless More

I have had some issue with the service department in the past however I am noticing a difference in their customer service and efficiency. More
