MY COMPLAINT IS THAT THE DEALER SHIP ALMOST DOUBLED THE ESTIMATE TO REPAIR MY CAR AFTER THEY CHARGED ME JUST TO INSPECT IT TO PROVIDE A QUOTE. THE REPAIR WAS RELATIVELY STAIGHT FORWARD AND IT WAS ON A NEW ESTIMATE TO REPAIR MY CAR AFTER THEY CHARGED ME JUST TO INSPECT IT TO PROVIDE A QUOTE. THE REPAIR WAS RELATIVELY STAIGHT FORWARD AND IT WAS ON A NEW 2012 OUTBACK-SHOULD HAVE BEEN NO HIDDEN ISSUES. THEY TOOK THE CAR APART AND THEN CALL ME SAYING THE WORK WOULD TAKE LONGER THAN THEY had ESTIMATED-MORE THAN 150% longer, KNOWING I NEED THE CAR SOON! TO ME, THAT IS UNPROFFESSIONAL, INCOMPETANT AT BEST, AND FRAUD AT WORST. THE REASON I WENT THEIR WAS BECAUSE SOME OTHER REVIEW SITES HAD A LOT OF GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THEM...NOT SO SURE NOW IF THEY WERE LEGITIMATE REVIEWs. I HOPE THIS REVIEW WILL HELP SOMEONE ELSE. Friendliness - rating 2. It was our first of a few Subaru dealerships we visited in November 2011 looking for a new car, before we bought it at another dealer - Richmond Hill Subaru. On the night of a possib dealerships we visited in November 2011 looking for a new car, before we bought it at another dealer - Richmond Hill Subaru. On the night of a possible deal, Jose questioned every my word, every reason, every point, which made the negotiations very difficult. After four hours of negotiations we reached a deal with difficulty, and I prepaid $1000 for a pre-allocated Forester 2011 model of our choice. Pre-accolated car happened to be a myth, i.e. didn't exist. Which is fine, but for $1000 I expected at least a polite call back. Not only I didn't receive a call, it took me a few days of my follow-ups to find from other dealership clerks, that the car could not be allocated. When I came to the dealership to claim my $1000 back I received plain rudeness from Jose and manager. This is absolutely unacceptable, I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. Price - rated 2, since Jose was unfriendly and failed to negotiate reasonably (e.g. didn't provide reasons for his arguments, and declined my arguments). Overall experience - rated 2, customers should feel they should fight; also, I always come with respect and the expectation to have an intelligent dialog, and expect to see the same on the other party. With Jose, I didn't see that. More
Dealing with this dealer and especially w/ Jose, was something that, we did not expect from a sales person , Polite and must of all he was the only honest from the bunch, and we went to many dealers something that, we did not expect from a sales person , Polite and must of all he was the only honest from the bunch, and we went to many dealers including GM and Toyota.
